Carefully attend appliance when paper,plastic, or other combustible materials are placed inside the ovento facilitate cooking.• Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placingbag in oven.• If materials inside the oven should ignite, keep oven door closed,turn oven off, and disconnect the power cord or shut off power atthe fuse or circuit breaker panel.• Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not leave paperproducts, cooking utensils or food in the cavity when not in use.• Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea are able to be overheatedbeyond the boiling point without appearing to be boiling due tosurface tension of the liquid. Visible bubbling or boiling when thecontainer is removed from the microwave oven is not alwayspresent. This could result in very hot liquids suddenly boiling overwhen the container is disturbed or a utensil is inserted into theliquid. To reduce the risk of injury to person:• Do not overheat the liquid.• Stir the liquid both before and halfway through heating it.• Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow necks.• After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave ovenfor a short time before removing the container.• Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensil into thecontainer. • Do not use an extension cord with this equipment. Do not plug this equipment into a power strip or multi-outlet power cord.

• Use equipment in a flat, level position.

• Turn off and unplug equipment, let it cool before cleaning or moving.

• Do not spray controls or outside of equipment with liquids or cleaning agents.

• Do not clean the equipment with steel wool.

• Keep equipment and power cord away from open flames, electric burners or excessive heat.

• Cooking utensils may become hot because of heat transferred from the heated food. Pot holders may be needed to handle the utensil.

• Use only thermometers which are specifically designed for use in microwave ovens. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Energy

• Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door-open, since, open- door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. Do not to modify or tamper with the safety interlocks.

• Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.

• Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the:

• Hinges and latches (broken or loosened).

• Door seals and sealing surfaces.

• The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.

FUNCTION AND PURPOSE

This equipment is intended to be used for heating/cooking fresh or frozen foods in commercial foodservice operations only. It is not intended for household, commercial or laboratory use. Indoor use only.

UNPACKING THE EQUIPMENT

1. Remove all packing material and tape, as well as any protective

plastic from the unit.

2. Check the oven for any damage, such as a misaligned or bent door,

damaged door seals and sealing surface, broken or loose door hinges and latches and dents inside the oven cavity or on the door. If there is any damage, do not operate the oven and contact qualified service personnel.

POSITIONING AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

For correct operation, the oven must have sufficient airflow. Allow 8" (20 cm) of space above the oven, 4" (10 cm) at the back and 2" (5 cm) on each side. Do not cover or block any openings on the equipment.

SET UP THE EQUIPMENT

1. Place the microwave oven on a flat, level and stable surface able to

support its weight and the heaviest food likely to be heated/cooked in the oven.

2. Do not place the oven where heat, moisture or high humidity are

generated, or near combustible materials.

3. The microwave must be cleaned prior to use. See “cleaning” on

4. Plug the oven into a grounded electrical outlet that matches the

rating on the name plate found on the side of the oven. NOTICE: Using a voltage other than the nameplate rated voltage will cause damage to the unit. Incorrect voltage, modification to the power cord or electrical components can damage unit and will void the warranty.

5. Make sure the power supply cord does not run under the oven or

over any hot or sharp surface.

6. The electrical plug must be readily accessible so it can be easily

unplugged in an emergency.

7. After the oven is plugged in, a blue background light indicates the

oven is ready for use. CONTROLS Display. Displays the power level, time and program. Power Selector Knob. Sets the power level. Time Set/Start/Stop Knob. This type of oven is specifically designed to heat, cook or dry food. NOTICE: Do not use the microwave oven for drying kitchen towels or napkins. Items may burn if heated too long. Prepare Food NOTICE: Pierce foods with heavy skins such as potatoes, whole squash, apples, chestnuts and etc., before cooking. NOTICE: Do not heat whole eggs. They will explode. Place food in or on a microwave-safe container NOTICE: Foods with high sugar or high fat content get very hot and should be heated only in high-temperature resistant containers. NOTICE: Special care must be taken when heating liquids. See “Place food in or on a microwave-safe container” on page 3. NOTICE: The following containers should not be used in the microwave oven:

• Low temperature restaurant glass or plastic platters – May crack or warp under similar conditions.

• Glass jars and bottles – Regular glass is too thin to be used in a microwave. It can shatter and cause damage and injury.

• Sealed containers and closed glass jars – They might explode.

• Paper bags – Paper and paper bags are a fire hazard, except for popcorn bags that are designed for microwave use.

• Styrofoam plates and cups – Styrofoam can melt and leave an unhealthy residue on the food.

• Plastic storage and food containers – Containers not specifically designed and intended for microwaves, such as margarine tubs, can melt in the microwave.

• Metal utensils – Metal can damage your oven. Remove all metal and foil before cooking.

• Metal food containers – Metal containers will not allow proper cooking in the microwave and can also damage the equipment. Heat Food

1. Rotate the power control knob to select a power level.

2. Rotate the Time Set/Start/Stop knob to select the heating time.

Press the Time Set/Start/Stop control repeatedly to set the time up to 12 minutes. During operation, the power and time can be changed. Start the oven

2. Open the door and give the dish a half turn, or turn the food over

during cooking. This helps to achieve more even cooking.

3. To stop the oven while it is operating, press the Time Set/Start/Stop

knob. Press it again to restart the heating/cooking cycle. Remove the food from the oven NOTICE: After the heating cycle has been completed, internal food temperatures continue to rise slightly in foods heated in the microwave oven. NOTICE: Always verify with a food thermometer that the food has been cooked to required temperature. NOTICE: Stir or shake the contents and check the temperature of feeding bottles and baby jars before serving, to avoid burns. WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard Keep water and other liquids from entering the inside of the equipment. Liquid inside the equipment could cause an electrical shock. CAUTION Burn Hazard Do not touch hot food, liquid or heating containers with bare hands after heating or cooking. Hot surfaces, steam and food can burn skin. Use gloves, mitts or pot holders when removing or handling containers from the oven.
