How to use the Bluetooth function on the JVC KD-R431 car radio?
Frequently Asked Questions -26/01/2026
Response Notice-Facile
To use the Bluetooth function of your JVC KD-R431 car radio, you first need to have the optional Bluetooth adapter KS-BTA100 (sold separately). This adapter is essential to activate Bluetooth features, as it is not factory integrated into this model.
Start by connecting the KS-BTA100 adapter to the rear auxiliary input jack of the car radio, marked R-AUX/BT ADAPTER. Refer to the installation manual provided with the adapter for connection details. Then, proceed to pair a Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) directly with the KS-BTA100 by following the instructions provided with the adapter. This initial pairing is done with the adapter, not with the car radio.
Once pairing is complete, change the source settings of the car radio to recognize the adapter. Press and hold the SRC SELECT button until you access the source settings. Select [BT ADAPTER] to indicate that the rear R-AUX jack is connected to the KS-BTA100. The source name will automatically change to BT AUDIO, indicating that Bluetooth is now active.
After this setup, simply select BT AUDIO as the source on your car radio to play music or use Bluetooth audio functions via your mobile device. The exact operation depends on the Bluetooth device you are using - refer to the KS-BTA100 manual for additional details on available controls and options.
Important note: The KS-BTA100 adapter is not available in all countries. Contact the JVC dealer from whom you purchased the car radio to check availability and obtain it.
