How to install or remove the accessories?

Unscrew the accessory retention cap, slide the accessory off, then place the new accessory and screw the cap back on. Allow the accessories to cool before handling.

What temperature settings are available?

The device offers two settings: high temperature/speed for thick and difficult hair, low temperature/speed for fine, delicate, damaged, or bleached hair.

How to create volume with the 25 mm brush?

Place the brush under the section near the roots, hold for a few seconds while curling the hair, then move down along the section. Allow to cool before continuing.

How to curl the ends inward with the 19 mm brush?

Place the brush under the section near the ends, rotate the brush inward to roll the hair, hold for a few seconds, then release.

What is the brush rotation lock for?

The lock allows you to release tangled hair. Slide the button back to unlock the rotation, release to lock.

How to clean the device?

After use, turn off and unplug. Allow to cool. Clean the air inlet filter with a soft brush to remove dust and dirt. Do not use abrasive products.

Can the device be used on wet hair?

It is recommended to dry hair to 70-80% before using the hot air brush. Do not use on soaking wet hair.

What to do in case of automatic shut-off?

If the grilles are blocked, the device automatically shuts off for safety. Turn off the device, let it cool, then clear the grilles before turning it back on.

Can I use the device in the bathroom?

Avoid using the device near water (bathtub, shower, sink). Unplug it after use even if turned off. For additional protection, install a residual current device (RCD) rated ≤ 30 mA.

How to store the device?

After cooling, store the device in a dry place, out of reach of children. Do not wrap the cord around the device. Use the hanging loop to hang it.

Thank you for buying your new Remington® product. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them safe. Remove all packaging before use. WARNING: This appliance is hot. Keep out of reach of children at all times.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children under 8 years.

Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom*.

• Currently, the fitting in a bathroom of an electrical socket suitable or capable of operating the appliance is not permitted in the UK (see BS7671).

• If the supply cord of this unit becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately and return the appliance to your nearest authorised Remington® service dealer for repair or replacement in order to avoid a hazard.

• Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the voltage stated on the unit before plugging the appliance into the mains socket.

• Keep direct airflow away from eyes or other sensitive areas.
• Do not allow any part of the appliance touch the face, neck or scalp.
• During use, always ensure the inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked in any way as this will cause the unit to automatically stop. If this should occur, switch off and allow the unit to cool.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Prepare the hair for styling

• Wash and condition the hair as normal.
• Squeeze out excess moisture with a towel and comb through.
• For best results, dry your hair as normal until it is about 70 - 80% dry.
• Divide the hair into sections, style the lower layers first.

To fit/remove attachments

Fit the attachment before you turn on the appliance.

CAUTION: Attachments can become hot during use, let them cool before removing.

1. Unscrew the attachment retaining cap (fig. A).
2. Slide the attachment off (fig.B).
3. Slide the new attachment on (fig. C).
4. Refit the attachment retaining cap and tighten firmly (fig. D).

Speed and temperature settings

1. Plug your styler in to the mains power supply.
2. Turn your air styler on and select the appropriate setting for your hair by sliding the speed/heat selector switch.
3. Your air styler has two settings:
4. High heat/speed : Thick and difficult to style hair.
5. Low heat/speed : Thin/fine, damaged or bleached hair.

Create volume with the 25mm brush

• To dry your roots and add volume, place the brush underneath the section close to the roots and hold for a few seconds, lifting the hair as you dry.
• Move the styler downward through the hair section.
• Repeat this around the head.
• Let the hair cool before further styling.

Create shaped ends with the 19mm brush

• To curl the ends in, place the brush underneath the section close to the ends and rotate the styler inwards allowing the hair to wrap around the barrel and hold for a few seconds.
• To curl the ends out, place the brush on top of the section close to the ends and rotate the styler outwards allowing the hair to wrap around the barrel and hold for a few seconds.
• Repeat this around the head.
• Let the hair cool before further styling.

Brush rotation lock

To help you release hair wrapped around the brush during styling, you can release the brush lock. This allows the brush to freely rotate.

• To release, slide the brush rotation lock button back in the direction of the handle.
• Release the button to lock the brush again.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• After use, turn the appliance off by moving the temperature control switch to the O position.
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning and storing away.
• To maintain peak product performance and to prolong motor life, it is important to regularly remove any dust and dirt from the air filter grille and clean with a soft brush.
• Don't use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
