Frequently Asked Questions - HD1341 GRUNDIG

How to fill the water tank?
Remove the mist nozzle, then the tank. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank, fill with distilled water, screw the cap back on ensuring the silicone ring is in place, replace the tank and nozzle.
Why is there little mist?
This may be due to a dirty nebulizer. Clean it with a half vinegar, half water solution. If water has been left in the appliance for a long time, replace it with clean water.
Can I use tap water?
It is recommended to use only distilled water. Tap water may contain minerals that clog the appliance and reduce performance.
How to clean the humidifier?
Unplug the appliance. Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Clean the tank with a mixture of water and vinegar (1/4 cup vinegar for a half-full tank), shake, rinse. Clean the ultrasonic disc with a half vinegar, half water solution and a soft brush.
Why is there a strange smell?
Clean the tank with a vinegar/water mixture. Leave the tank open without its cap for some time to air out.
The appliance does not turn on, what to do?
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in. Ensure the button at the back is in the on position. If the light is red, the tank is empty, fill it with water.
Can I add essential oils to the water?
No, do not add essential oils directly to the water. Use the fragrance box at the bottom of the appliance: place a few drops on the sponge provided.
How often should I clean the humidifier?
It is recommended to clean the appliance at least once a week to avoid limescale deposits and extend its lifespan.
How to store the humidifier when not in use?
Clean and dry the appliance thoroughly. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance. Store it in its original packaging, at room temperature, out of reach of children.
What if moisture accumulates around the appliance?
This is not a defect, but may indicate that the ambient humidity is too high. Reduce the mist output setting or turn off the appliance.
