How to assemble the Bestron ASV45ZR fan?

Start by crossing the two support bars of the telescopic base and fix them with the four screws. Then unscrew the height lock, slide on the protective cover and screw it back. Mount the back grille onto the motor block by aligning the notches, then secure with the ring. Mount the blades and the fixing knob. Finally, place the front grille and close the clips.

How to use the remote control?

Point the remote control at the fan from less than 6 meters and at an angle less than 30 degrees. Use the ON/SPEED button to turn on and change speeds, OFF to turn off, MODE for the Breeze functions, and the timer button to program automatic shut-off.

How to set the timer?

Press the timer button on the remote control repeatedly to increase the time in 30-minute steps. For 3.5 hours, press until the 0.5h, 1h and 2h indicators light up simultaneously. The fan will automatically turn off at the end of the programmed time.

What is Natural Breeze mode?

The Natural Breeze mode makes the fan speed vary between high and low to simulate a natural breeze. To activate it, press the MODE button on the remote control until a green light turns on. Press MODE again to deactivate.

How to clean the fan?

First unplug the appliance. Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust. If necessary, disassemble the grille and blades: unscrew the ring, remove the front part, unscrew the knob and remove the blades, then the fixing ring and the back part. Clean the parts with a damp cloth and dry well. Never clean the motor block with a damp cloth, use a dry cloth.

What to do if the fan does not turn on?

First check that the plug is properly inserted and that the power outlet works. If the problem persists, contact Bestron after-sales service. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself; entrust it to a qualified technician.

What is the warranty period for the Bestron ASV45ZR?

The fan comes with a 60-month (5-year) warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects. The warranty applies to the first purchaser and requires proof of purchase. It does not cover damages due to misuse, incorrect installation, or repairs by unauthorized persons.

Can the fan be used outdoors?

Be careful if using the appliance outdoors. Never use it in damp rooms or near an open window, as rainwater could cause a short circuit. The fan is designed for indoor household use.

How to adjust the fan height?

Unscrew the height lock on the telescopic pole, adjust to the desired height, then retighten the lock firmly to maintain the position.

How to activate oscillation?

To activate oscillation (left-right sweeping motion), push the angle lock on the motor block. For fixed ventilation, pull the angle lock. You can also tilt the grille manually forward or slightly downward.

Only use the appliance in the manner described in the instructions. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

Defects:

If the appliance is defective, do not try to repair it yourself. Always have a qualified mechanic carry out any repairs.

Children:

• This appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-how, but only if supervised or if they have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and are aware of its potential dangers.
  Children are not allowed to clean and maintain the appliance, except if they are over the age of 8 years old and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under the age of 8 years old.
• Keep an eye on children to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS APPLIANCE

• Be careful when using the appliance outdoors.

OPERATION - General

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

OPERATION - Before first use

Remove the fan from the packaging and remove all packaging materials.

MONTAGE - Assembling the stand

1. Lay the two feet of the stand (2A) across each other, at right angles, and fit them to the upright using the four screws (2B).
2. Remove the height lock from the upright.

3. Slide the protective cover onto the upright, and fit it over the feet.

4. Fit the height lock to the upright.

5. Unscrew the locking ring (2C) from the motor-housing (by turning it counterclockwise) and remove the ring from the motor housing.
6. Fit the rear of the fan housing (2D) onto the motor-housing, making sure that the openings are aligned precisely with the lugs on the motor housing and that the grip is at the top.

MONTAGE -Assembling the fan

1. Slide the locking ring (2C) onto the shaft, and screw it tight (clockwise).
2. Slide the fan blades (3A) onto the shaft, making sure that the notches are aligned precisely with the two keys on the shaft.
3. Fit the spinner onto the shaft (3B) and tighten it (anticlockwise) whilst preventing the fan blades from moving.
4. The rim has five clamps. Carefully fit the rim around the rear half of the fan housing, making sure that the housing falls into the upper clamp of the rim, so that you can connect the two halves of the fan housing with the nut and bolt. Use a crosshead screwdriver to screw the bolt into the nut.
5. Close the other clamps.

1. Connect the plug into an electrical socket and switch on at the wall.
2. Press the "ON/SPEED" button. At first start-up the fan will operate at low speed.
3. Press the same button to choose between Low, Medium and High speed (low, mid, high).
4. Tilt the fan to the required angle. You can set the fan:

a. to blow horizontally or angled slightly downwards. Tilt the ventilator housing and motor housing to the required angle.
b. to oscillate from left to right (with a sweep of 75^ ). This will ventilate much of the room. Press the oscillation button on the motor housing fully in.
c. remain in the same position whilst the fan is turning. This will ventilate one area. Pull out the oscillation button until you hear it click.
5. Press the "OFF" button. The fan stops.

OPERATION - Remote control

The appliance can be controlled by use of the control panel, but also with the remote control. For optimal use:

The distance between the appliance and the remote control should, nt be more than 6 meters.
- Point the remote control at the appliance and be sure that the angle is smaller than 30 degrees.

1. Press the "ON/SPEED" button. At first start-up the fan will operate at low speed.
2. Press the same button to choose between Low, Medium and High speed (low, mid, high).
3. Press the "OFF" button. The fan stops.

Timer mode

The appliance can be turned off manually by pressing the OFF button. However this appliance is fitted with a timer with allows you to shut off the appliance at the end of a pre-determined time. By pressing the TIMER button repeatedly you increase the time in increments of 0.5 hours.

For example

If you want to shut off the appliance after 3,5 hours, press the TIMER button repeatedly, till the indicator lamps 0,5h, 1h and 2h are lit at the same time.

Breeze mode

The fan is equipped with a Natural Breeze and a Sleep Breeze function that only can be switched on with with the remote control. To do so, press the "MODE" button.

In Natural Breeze mode the speed varies from high to low (green light is on).
- At Sleep Breeze the speed varies from normal to low (light is off).
- Press the 'MODE' button again to deactivate the setting. A red light illuminates.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Over the course of time dust can accumulate between the spokes in the fan housing, and on the fan blades. Always begin by trying to remove the dust with a brush and/or vacuum cleaner. If this does not remove all the dust you can always dismantle the fan and clean it.

1. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
2. Loosen the bolt in the rim around the fan housing using a small crosshead screwdriver.
3. Remove the rim and the front half of the filter housing.
4. Hold the fan blades to stop them from turning, and unscrew the spinner by turning clockwise in the direction of the 'LOOSEN' arrow. Remove the fan blades from the motor housing.
5. Remove the rear half of the fan housing by turning the white locking ring at the centre of the housing anticlockwise. Remove the ring and the housing from the motor housing.
6. Clean the dismantled parts and the base with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.
7. Clean the motor housing with a dry cloth.

WARNING:

• Verify that the appliance is not connected to the power supply before you clean it.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.

Reassemble the fan using the procedure given under by 'Assembling the fan'.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty on this equipment against defects resulting from manufacturing and/or material errors, subject to the following conditions.

1. No labour or material costs will be charged during this warranty period.
2. Any repairs carried out under the warranty will not extend the warranty period.
3. Faulty parts, or in the event of exchange, the faulty equipment itself, will automatically become the property of Bestron.
4. The warranty is valid for the first buyer only and is non-transferable.
5. The warranty is not valid for damage caused by:

• Connection to a different mains voltage than indicated on the type plate
• Unauthorised changes
• Repairs carried out by unqualified third parties
