Persons in household

1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years or more and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children must not play with the appliance.
3. Children from the age of 8 may be permitted to clean or maintain the appliance, provided they are supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8.

5. The appliance is designed for use in the household and similar facilities, e.g.

6. tea kitchens in offices, shops, and other workplaces,

7. kitchenettes for guests in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities,
   bed and breakfast accommodations and holiday homes.

Requirements on the set-up location and operation of the appliance

1. For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet surface.
2. Do not place the appliance or the cable close to naked flames.
3. Always use the citrus juices on a level and uncluttered surface.
4. Do not allow the power cord to hang from the worktop, as this could result in accidents, for example if pulled on by small children.
5. Route the power cord safely so that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over.
6. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
7. To unplug the power cord from the power socket, always pull at the plug and never at the cable.
8. Never touch the power cord with wet hands.
9. Never carry the motor block by the power cord.
10. Never move the appliance when in use.
11. Never use the appliance outside. Do not cover the appliance when in use.
12. Before putting the appliance into operation, make sure it stands on a level work surface, it has not tipped over and it is not slanted.
13. Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than squeezing citrus fruit.
14. To prevent damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
15. Unplug the appliance from the power socket after use and before cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the power socket.

16. Never open the housing of the citrus juicer. This can result in a risk of electric shock.

17. Regularly check the appliance, the cable and the plug for wear and damage.

18. If the power cord or other parts of the appliance are damaged, return the appliance to our customer service department for inspection and repair.
19. Improper repair can result in serious hazards to the user and shall void all warranty.
20. If the power cord of the appliance is defective, return the appliance to our customer service department or have it replaced by a qualified electrician.

Never reach into the appliance while it is in operation - danger of injury!

Keep hair, articles of clothing, other tools, etc. away from the appliance while the plug is inserted in the power socket.

Never touch the cone directly with your hands when the plug is inserted in the power socket.

Never open the housing of the citrus juicer. This can result in a risk of electric shock.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove all packaging and transport safety devices. Keep the packaging material away from children. Choke hazard! Dispose of the packaging material according to the applicable statutory waste disposal regulations.
2. Inspect the appliance for damage. If there is visible damage, to not start the appliance but contact our customer service department.
3. Check whether all accessories listed in this manual have been shipped with your appliance.

4. Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as described in the chapter "Cleaning and care".

5. Check if the appliance is placed firmly.

6. Connect the base to the mains supply by means of the lead cable (220-240 V~, 50/60 Hz).

PREPARED JUICE

Note: Maximum short operating time is 5 minutes. Thereafter allow the appliance to first cool down for several minutes, before making more juice.

1. Prepare the desired citrus fruit by washing and halving it.
2. Unwind the power cord completely.
3. Place the collection container with spout into the appliance. The spout on the collection container must sit in the corresponding recess on the motor block.
4. Next, place the sieve into the collection container.
5. Put on the smaller cone. The smaller cone is ideal for smaller fruit, such as lemons.
6. If you want to squeeze larger fruit, fit the larger cone on the smaller cone. Ensure that both cones are seated firmly.
7. Open the outflow valve by lightly pressing the spout downward.
8. Place a container of sufficient size under the spout, e.g. a glass.
9. Place the halved citrus fruit onto the cone with the sliced area downward and lightly press down to seat the citrus fruit in place.
10. Now, press the pressing lever down. This switches on the motor automatically, pressing out the fruit.
11. Release the pressing lever again to stop the motor of the appliance.
12. Do not press too forcefully as this will make the cone turn more slowly and place excessive stress on the motor. You will achieve the best results by proceeding slowly.
13. If you are preparing larger quantities of juice, you must unplug the plug from the power socket from time to time, then allow the juice to flow out into a vessel and clean the sieve.
14. Note: The maximum short operating time is 5 minutes. Afterwards, allow the appliance to first cool down for several minutes before making more juice.

15. After extracting the juice, push the outflow valve upwards again to close it and thus prevent dripping.

16. Unplug the plug from the power socket after use. Only then can you be sure the appliance is safely switched off.

17. Clean the appliance after every use.
18. Tip: We recommend that you enjoy the squeezed juice while it is as fresh as possible.
19. Do not store the juice squeezed from citrus fruit in a metallic vessel.

CLEANING AND CARE

Before cleaning the appliance, switch it off and disconnect the plug from the power socket.

1. Never immerse the motor block in water or another liquid. Do not clean the motor block in the dish washer.
2. The juice collection container, the cones and the sieve can be cleaned in warm water with mild dish washing detergent. These parts can also be cleaned in a dish washer on the top tray.
3. Wipe off the housing with a moist cloth. Make sure no water can enter into the motor housing.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or implements such as steel wool, metal scrapers, hot detergents or disinfectants.
5. All parts must be completely dry before you can use the appliance again or put it away for storage.
6. Store the appliance in a dry place and protected against dust.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. You can print out a return receipt on our website www.unold.de/ruecksendingung. (only for entries from Germany and Austria). The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
