How to install the Pico Filter?

Clean the glass surface where the filter will be attached, then press the suction cups firmly against the glass. Position the filter so that the water outlet is below the water level for quiet operation and proper circulation. Make sure the power cable forms a drip loop (lowest point of the cable below the socket).

How to adjust the water flow?

Turn the adjustment tap located on top of the filter. It offers 7 positions to adapt the flow to your needs. A lower flow reduces noise, a higher flow ensures efficient water circulation.

How to clean the filter?

Always unplug the device before maintenance. Separate the filter from the pump and remove the impeller. Clean the impeller and its housing with a soft brush to remove lime deposits. Rinse the filter cartridge (sponge) under running lukewarm water. Reassemble in reverse order. Never use solvents or detergents.

How often should I replace the sponge?

The sponge should be replaced as soon as it is worn or deformed. Its lifespan depends on the aquarium's biological load. Regular rinsing extends its life, but it should be changed at least every 2-3 months for optimal filtration.

What if the filter is noisy?

First check that the water outlet is below the water level. A clicking noise may indicate that the impeller is dirty or misaligned. Clean the impeller and its housing. Make sure the filter is securely attached and not vibrating against the glass.

Can I fully submerge the filter?

Yes, the filter is designed for full immersion up to a maximum depth of 1 meter. Never exceed this limit and ensure the power cable remains accessible outside the water.

What if the power cable is damaged?

The cable is type Z and cannot be repaired or replaced. If the cable is damaged, you must replace the entire filter. Do not use it and unplug it immediately.

Can I use the filter in saltwater?

The filter is not specifically designed for saltwater, but it can be used if the temperature does not exceed 35 °C. Corrosion of metal parts (impeller) may be accelerated. Regular rinsing with fresh water is recommended.

How to attach the filter to the glass?

Clean the inside glass of the aquarium. Slightly moisten the suction cups for better adhesion. Press the filter firmly against the glass with a quick push. Check the attachment after a few hours.

What is the warranty on the filter?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and includes free repair or replacement. It is excluded for damages due to improper use, negligence, normal wear, or incorrect repair. Wear parts (foams, seals) are not covered.

• Always disconnect all appliances inside the aquarium from the electric power supply before carrying out any maintenance.
• Ensure that the voltage shown on all electrical components corresponds to that of your home electrical power supply.
• Before switching on make sure your home is protected by an automatic safety breaker switch.
• Do not connect the appliance to the power supply before correctly completing all the installation procedures (including filling the aquarium with water).
• When connecting the appliance to the power supply, ensure that the lowest point of the cable is lower than the electrical socket so that any drops of water do not accidentally run down the cable and into the power supply (A).
• The product is intended only for indoor use.
• The temperature of the liquid must not exceed 35^ C .
• Do not connect the pump to the power supply when it is not submerged in water.
• Do not use if the cable or the device should be damaged in any way.
• The power supply cable has Z-type wiring, so it cannot be repaired or replaced: If damaged, have the entire device replaced.

INSTALLATION

Attention: please verify that all components of the filter are undamaged before putting it into function.

Clean the place where you intend to put the filter and whenever necessary fix it with the included suction cups (2). We suggest to avoid lateral contact to the glass walls of the tank to avoid resonance caused by vibration. For best results we suggest you to position the filter so that the water outlet is completely covered by water. By doing this you will obtain more regular and silent recycling of the water.

REGULATION

The filter is provided with a 7 position system for regulation and control of the outlet. By moving the control knob as indicated in (3)it is possible to adjust the flow of the water to suit the different applications required.

MAINTENANCE

Attention: always disconnect the electrical supply to the filter and other

• Remove the filter lid from the pump body and take out the rotor assembly.
• Clean the rotor assembly from deposits eventually by using a stiff brush.
• Remove sponge from filter and rinse it thoroughly under running lukewarm water (4) and reassemble everything in reverse order. Make sure that the rotor spins regularly.
• Do not use any sort of solvents or detergents.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of the filter will guarantee better performance and longer life.

This product, all its parts and accessories are covered by warranty within the limits provided for in this paragraph and the legal regulations currently in force. The guarantee only covers manufacturing defects and includes the repair or replacement of the product free of charge.
