Which pans can I use on the Buffalo GF239 hob?

Use magnetic pans (mild steel, cast iron, enameled iron). Stainless steel, aluminum, copper, glass or ceramic pans are not suitable unless specified by the manufacturer. The diameter must be at least 12 cm.

What does error code E01 mean?

Code E01 indicates overheating of the appliance. Check that the ventilation filter (under the appliance) is clean and unobstructed. Let the appliance cool down. If the problem persists, contact Buffalo customer service.

Why does my hob beep and turn off?

This means that no utensil is detected or the utensil is not compatible with induction cooking. Use a suitable magnetic pan and place it in the center of the cooking zone.

How to clean the glass surface of the hob?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Clean with a damp cloth soaked in warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive products or scouring pads. Dry thoroughly afterwards.

Can I use the hob outdoors?

No, this appliance is designed exclusively for indoor use. Do not expose it to moisture or weather.

Installation

Maintain a distance of 15cm (6 inches) between the appliance and walls or other objects.

Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.

Operation

Cookware

Suitable cookware includes:

• All magnetic pans
• Mild steel or plain steel (black iron) pans
• Enamelled/non-enamelled cast iron and iron pans

Unsuitable cookware includes:

Cookware with a diameter of less than 12cm
- Ceramic or glass cookware
- Stainless steel, aluminium, bronze or copper cookware unless marked as suitable for induction cooking
Cookware with feet
Cookware with a rounded bottom (e.g. wok)

Induction Cooking

Induction cooking is a very efficient method of cooking as it reduces heat loss between the pan and the atmosphere by as much as 40% . This makes it extremely energy efficient, as well as offering immediate heat-up, unlike traditional heating methods which require time to get to temperature.

The Induction cooker works by creating a magnetic field within suitable cookware, which causes an instant build-up of heat to cook the food.

Operation

1. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
2. Place suitable cookware on to the centre of the glass plate.

Note: Never place empty cookware on the appliance.

1. Turn the dial to the desired power as indicated on the display.
2. If the pan is removed or the wrong type of pan is used, the appliance will make a beeping noise and switch off after approximately 60 seconds.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

• Isolate the power supply and allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
• Use warm, soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the appliance.
  DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or pads.
