Read the instructions, keep them safe, pass them on if you pass the appliance on. Remove all packaging before use. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or someone similarly qualied to avoid a hazard. l Don’t put the motor unit in liquid.

• Switch o (C) before tting or removing the jug to the motor unit.

• Don’t use accessories or attachments other than those we supply.

• Don’t use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.

• Don’t operate the appliance if it’s damaged or malfunctions.

• Don’t run the motor continuously for more than 2 minutes, it may overheat. After 2 minutes switch o for at least 2 minutes, to recover.

Turn to “CARE AND MAINTENANCE” and clean the appliance, to remove manufacturing dust, etc.

1. Sit the motor unit on a stable, level surface.

2. Align the d on the bottom of the jug with the U on the motor unit (g. A).

3. Lower the jug on to the motor unit, then turn the jug to align the d with the L (g. B). Your blender

will not operate unless the jug is correctly tted and locked.

8. Press the C button. The button will light up indicating that your blender is ready to start.

9. Press the desired function button according to the table below.

10. The Smoothie, Icy drink and Soup functions will run for a pre-set time and then stop automatically.

The speed of the motor may change, and the motor may stop briey from time to time while the function is running. This optimises blending for the selected function.

11. You can change functions during processing by pressing the desired function button.

12. To stop the motor or function at any time, press the C button.

• Generally, large quantities, thick mixes, and a high ratio of solids to liquids require longer timings and slower speeds.

• Smaller quantities, thinner mixes, and more liquids than solids require shorter timings and higher speeds.

• To add ingredients while the blender is working, remove the cap, pour the new ingredients through the hole, then replace the cap.

• Check that the added ingredients don’t increase the volume in the jug past the 1500ml mark. WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED:

1. Switch o (C), and wait till the blades come to a stop before removing the lid from the jug, or

removing the jug from the motor unit.

2. Turn the jug to align the d with the U to unlock it, and lift it o the motor unit.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Switch the appliance o (C) and unplug it.

2. Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.

3. Hand wash the removable parts.

¬ You may wash these parts in the top rack of a dishwasher. ` You may wash these parts in the dishwasher. If you use a dishwasher, the harsh environment inside the dishwasher will aect the surface nishes. The damage should be cosmetic only, and should not aect the operation of the appliance.5 BLADE UNIT You may wish to remove the blade unit for cleaning.

2. Sit the jug upside down.

3. Unscrew the collar from the jug and carefully remove the blade unit.

4. Handle only the plastic – don’t touch the metal parts.

5. Wash the blade unit in warm soapy water, rinse, and air dry.

6. Replace the blade unit and screw the collar rmly onto the bottom of the jug.
