How to charge the QL3 lamp?

Open the rubber cover of the Micro USB connector, plug the included USB cable into a power source (power adapter or power bank). The red LED indicates charging, it turns green after approximately 2 hours.

Can I use the lamp without a battery?

Yes, you can power it via the Micro USB port with a power bank. The battery is not necessary in this case.

How to change the lamp head?

Hold the lamp body, pull the Quick-Lock lock down to remove the head. Insert the new head into the receptacle and push until the lock engages.

What is the battery life of the lamp?

Battery life depends on the head used: approximately 2.5 h with the zoom head, 1.5 h with the surface work light, and 4.5 h with the mini zoom head.

How to attach the lamp to a metal surface?

The battery compartment cover is magnetic. Simply place the lamp on a clean metal surface (hood, scaffolding) to hold it, freeing both hands.

What to do if the lamp does not turn on?

Check that the battery is inserted in the correct direction (+/-) and that it is charged. Make sure the head is properly engaged. If the problem persists, contact a specialist.

Is the QL3 lamp waterproof?

It is weather-resistant with IP30 rating, meaning it protects against solid objects >2.5 mm but not against water jets. Avoid rain and humidity.

How to clean the lamp?

Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth (no harsh chemicals like gasoline). Turn off the lamp and remove the battery before cleaning.

Can I use other batteries than the one supplied?

Only use a 18650 Lithium-ion battery with protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, and polarity reversal.

What to do in case of malfunction or drop?

If the lamp falls, do not use it without having it checked by a qualified electrician. Never attempt to open or repair it yourself; contact a specialist.

01 SAFETY HINTS

• Do not look directly into the LED and do not direct the light beam into the eyes of humans or animals.
  CAUTION: Looking into the light for an extended period of time may cause an irreversible damage to the retina.
  The light is not suitable for examinations of the eyes (pupils test).
• Do not point the light at vehicles or aircrafts.
• Do not light up any magnifying bundled objects (e.g. mirrors) - risk of fire!
• Make sure to use the device only with an appropriate, high-quality Li-ion battery type 18650 which is protected against over or under voltage and against short circuit and reverse polarity.
• To avoid deep-discharge of the Li-ion battery when device is not in use for a longer period, please charge Li-ion battery up to approx. 60% .
• Never leave the light unattended while charging.
• Turn off the light after use.
• Protect the device from rain, moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not operate or touch the device with wet hands.
• Protect the device against impacts. Do not use the device if it has been dropped. In this case a qualified electrician should inspect the device before you use it again.
• Do not attempt to repair the device by yourself. When service or repair is required, contact qualified service personnel.
• People with physical or cognitive disabilities should use the device with supervision.
• People with cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators or any other electrical implants should maintain a minimum distance of 30~cm , as the device generates magnetic fields.

02 | SAFETY HINTS FOR RECHARGABLE BATTERIES

When inserting the battery please respect the correct polarity (+/-) . Please remove battery when device is not in use for a long period of time. Do not throw batteries into fire, do not short-circuit and do not disassemble them. Never charge non-rechargeable batteries - risk of explosion! Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately. Risk of battery acid burn! Clean the contacts before inserting fresh batteries. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected area immediately with water and contact a doctor. Batteries can be dangerous to life if swallowed. Keep batteries away from small children and pets. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste (see also chapter "Disposal of Batteries/Accumulators").

The DORR QL-3 LED Multifunctional working light is an all-round talent - the quick-lock system allows to exchange the supplied three light heads within seconds. The built-in magnet fi xes the light body to any metallic surface and gives you the opportunity to have both hands free.

06|OPERATION

The QL-3 working light comes with a powerful and long-life rechargeable Li-lon battery (type 18650 3.7 V 2200 mAh). Before first use, please fully charge the battery:

06.1 INSERTING THE BATTERY

Turn the battery compartment cover (1) counter clockwise to open the battery compartment (2). When inserting the supplied Li-ion battery (13) into the battery compartment (2) mind correct polarity +/- . In order to close the battery compartment (2) again, turn the battery compartment cover (1) clockwise.

06.2 CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE LI-ION BATTERY

Open the rubber cover for USB port (7). When open you will see the Micro USB port (8). Connect the USB charging cable with the supplied USB cable (14) and either a USB charging source or the AC adapter (15) and a power outlet. While charging the LED charging indicator (9) will light up in red. After approximately 2 hours the Li-iron battery (13) is fully charged - the LED charging indicator (9) lights up in green. Close the rubber cover for USB port (7) again.

You may use the working light alternatively with a power bank (optional). It is irrelevant if the rechargeable battery (13) is inserted or not.

07.1 EXCHANGING THE LIGHT HEADS

Hold the light body (3) with one hand and slide the quick lock closure (5) downwards away from the light head- remove the light head.

Place the desired light head (10/11/12) onto the light head socket (6) and press down the head until the quick lock closure (5) snaps in.

Attach the magnetic battery compartment (1) of the light body (3) to every metallic surface e.g. front lids of cars, construction site scaffold olds to have both hands free.

09 | CLEANING AND STORAGE

Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the head light. We recommend a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device. Turn off the device and remove battery before cleaning. Store the device in a dust-free, dry and cool place. This device is not a toy - keep it out of reach of children. Keep away from pets.
