How to start the BMW R 1250 GS (2022) ?
Insert the ignition key or use the Keyless Ride system. Turn the key or press the unlock button to switch on the ignition. Activate the cut-off switch, then press the start button (STOP/MODE). The engine starts after the Pre-Ride-Check.
How to adjust the Dynamic ESA suspension ?
Use the MENU rocker switch and the Multi-Controller on the left handlebar to access the 'My vehicle' menu. Select 'Dynamic ESA' and choose the mode (Road, Dynamic, Enduro). You can also adjust the rear spring preload manually via the knob on the frame.
What is the recommended tire pressure ?
Front tire: 2.5 bar, rear tire: 2.9 bar (cold). Check the label under the seat or the owner's manual for special conditions (loaded, off-road).
How to change the riding modes ?
Press the 'MODE' button on the right handlebar. The TFT display shows the available modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Enduro, Enduro Pro). Turn the knob or use the arrows to select the desired mode and confirm.
How to activate the Hill Start Control ?
On a slope, squeeze the front or rear brake. Briefly press the Hill Start Control button (on the left handlebar) or activate it via the menu. Release the brake: the motorcycle remains stationary for 2-3 seconds. Accelerate to start.
What are the main maintenance intervals ?
The BMW Motorrad maintenance schedule provides a service every 10,000 km or once a year. Includes engine oil change, air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid. Running-in check at 1,000 km. Consult the booklet for details.
How to use the navigation system ?
From the TFT display, access the 'Navigation' menu. You can enter a destination via voice command or the Multi-Controller. The navigation displays in real time on the screen, with turn-by-turn directions.
What to do if the ABS warning light comes on ?
The ABS light may flash during self-diagnosis (speed <5 km/h). If it stays on, a fault is present. Ride cautiously to a BMW workshop. ABS may be limited; braking remains possible without assistance.
