Follow these instrucons when using the kele for the rst me: Carefully remove the kele from the packaging and remove all packaging material. Place the kele on a heat-resistant at surface. The minimum water lling volume is 0.5 litres. The maximum lling volume is 1.7 litres. Prior to use, the appliance must be lled to the maximum twice and the water must be brought to the boil twice. Throw away the boiled water and rinse the appliance with cold water. The appliance is now ready for use. The kele is only suitable for boiling water. Never ll the kele with milk, tea, coee or other instant drinks. Place the kele on the base. If necessary, excess cord can be stored in the boom of the connecon base by rolling up the cord.

6EN - 13 Regularly clean the kele for opmum performance. Never submerge the kele and connecon base in water and/or other liquids. Cauon!It is possible that a lile condensed water remains on the edge of the connecon base. This is normal and does not aect the funcon of the kele.

Scale may occur on the inside of the kele. If you have hard water, it may be necessary to de-scale the kele occasionally. Use a suitable de-scaling agent for keles/coee machines and observe the accompanying instrucons. You can also de-scale the kele with lemon juice. The lemon acid in this juice will make sure that the scale is removed. This natural method prevents the use of chemicals. Fill half the kele with hot water. Add the juice of half a lemon. Boil the water and then allow the water to cool down for 30 minutes. Throw away the boiled water and rinse the kele once more. Never clean the appliance with cleaning agents. These could damage your kele. In order to remove the an-scale lter from the kele for cleaning, you must take the kele from the connecon base and allow it to cool down. Do not remove the an-scale lter from the kele if it is sll hot or lled with water. Push free the an-scale lter via the opening of the spout and clean it with warm water. When placing back the lter, make sure it is properly aached in the spout via the inside of the kele. Never place the an-scale lter loose in the kele.
