USER MANUAL 48001 KORONA
Before use, please read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference. When passing on the appliance to a third party, make sure to include these instructions for use.
This appliance is only intended for boiling / keeping warm water. Never attempt to heat any other liquids or foods in it. This appliance is only intended for private household use!

General Safety Instructions
Manufacturer takes no responsibility for any damage caused by incorrect use.
Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and cause injuries to the user.
- Before connecting this appliance to the mains, make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance. Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged

- Never put the appliance, cord or plug into water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the appliance near a sink or wash basin.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance, electric shock, risk of burns.
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose and as described in this manual.
- Never attempt to heat any other liquids / foods in it.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface.
- Attention: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation. Only use the handle. Danger of serious burns!
- Do not move the appliance during operation.
- Do not place the appliance near any inflammable objects.
- The appliance can get very hot during use, dang serious burns! Only touch it by its handles.
- Never exceed the maximum filling level (6.9 L).

Never open the lid during operation.

To prevent the appliance from boiling dry, make sure the water level is never below minimum filling (2.8 L).
- The appliance also features a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the appliance, should it accidentally be operated without water. In the event of such a safety cut-out switch off the appliance immediately, unplug it and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes. Afterwards, your kettle is ready for use again.

Temperature indicator lights
During the heating up process the red indicator light lights up, once the desired temperature is reached the red indicator lights goes off and switches into the keeping warm phase. During the keeping warm phase the orange indicator light lights up.
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and undamaged.
- Completely unwind the power cord.
- Do not use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage.
- Clean the appliance according to "Cleaning and Care".
- Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket.

Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and, as is, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Operation

The temperature of accessible surfaces may
be high during operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation.
- Remove the lid (1) by turning it into anti clockwise direction.
- Fill the water tank (2) with fresh tap water. Always make sure not to exceed the max water level nor to the min. water level (4). - Make sure that the appliance is not connected to the mains when filling it with water -

Close the lid (1) by turning it into clockwise direction.

Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Choose the desired temperature (7) and switch ON the appliance by pressing the ON/Off switch (6). The re indicator light (5) will illuminate and the heating process will start.
Note: If no temperature is chosen, the appliance will not switch on.
- Once the chosen temperature has been reached the red indicator light goes off and the orange indicator light lights up.
- To prepare your desired beverage (instant coffee, tea instant soup, etc.) place a cup or flask underneath the tap (8).
Note: Various beverages, e.g. teas, need a special temperature to unfold their aroma.
- Press down the tap lever (9) to pour the desired amount of water into a cup or flask. Once pressed down, the lever will hold into position.
- Once the cup or flask is filled with the desired amount of water push the lever back into its original upward position. The tap will close automatically.
Always make sure that during use the water level will never go beyond the minimum water level indicator.
Note: If you wish to adjust the water temperature during the heating process:
- Switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button.
- Choose the desired temperature and press the On/Off button to switch the appliance back on.
You can stop the boiling process any time by pushing the On/Off button.
Always switch off and unplug the appliance after use.
Keeping Warm Function

Note: The appliance is fitted with a thermostat which keeps a constant temperature during the keeping warm use.
Once the heating process has finished, the red indicator light goes off and the orange indicator light will illuminate.
Choose the desired keeping warm temperature with the temperature control dial to keep the water at a constant temperature.
The keeping warm function can be stopped any time by pressing the On/Off button
Note: The keeping warm temperature can vary between 5-10 °C.

Attention: Do not set the keep warm temperature 0^ , the appliance will keep boiling the water.
Recommendation: If you are not using the appliance, switch it off, empty the water tank and disconnect it from the mains!
Dry-boil cut-out
Your appliance is equipped with a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the appliance automatically, should it accidentally be operated without water or by not observing the minimum water level. In the event of such a safety cut-out, switch off the appliance immediately, unplug it and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes. Afterwards, your appliance is ready for use again.
Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean your appliance on a regular basis, best after each use. Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation or could lead to health issues (germ formation).

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Rinse the appliance with some hot water, if necessary use a mild dishwashing detergent.
If this is the case, make sure to wipe it again with a moistened cloth until there is no soap residue left.
Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the appliance.
Make sure that the appliance and all other resp. parts are properly dried.

Never place the appliance and its accessories
into the dishwasher - It is not dishwasher safe! This can damage the appliance and hurt its user!

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision.
DESCALING
Descale your appliance in regular intervals (approx. every 3 - 6 months), depending on the frequency of use and the local water quality.
Never use any sharp, pointed or metal objects to remove limescale built up in the appliance.
To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your appliance.
After descending, always make sure to rinse the appliance several times with some water. - But, do not immerse the appliance in water -
Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks.
Storage
After use disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down.
Keep it away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
Disposal Instructions

Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection points for disposal or your local dealer.
Your Hot Water Dispenser 48001 is packed in a retail box. Such boxes are recyclable waste, i.e. they are reusable or recyclable.
