How to start the engine?
Sit on the seat, press the brake pedal fully and lock the parking brake. Make sure the cutting deck is disengaged. Move the throttle control to high position (choke if necessary). Turn the ignition key to position III and hold until the engine starts, then release.
How to check the safety devices?
Before each use, test the switches: parking brake (engine must not start if released), cutting deck (must not start if engaged), seat (engine stops if no one is seated), collection bag (engine stops if bag is not properly attached), discharge chute (engine must not start if removed).
How to adjust the cutting height?
Use the adjustment lever (04/1) located to the right of the driver's seat. Push the lever down for a shorter cut, up for a longer cut. Normal height is 4 to 5 cm.
How to empty the collection bag?
Pull the bag actuation lever (09/1) backward, then push it forward to open the bag. Raise the bag using the lever and tilt it to empty. Replace it by aligning the marks and engaging the front part.
How to use mulching?
Mulching requires an optional mulching plug. Remove the collection bag, insert the plug into the discharge chute and secure the straps to the eye bolts. Mow regularly (1 to 2 times per week) cutting only one third of the grass height.
How to push the mower by hand?
To push the mower, unlock the hydrostatic transmission bypass by pulling the lever (12/1) upward. Release the brake. After use, return the lever to initial position to re-engage the drive.
How to maintain the starter battery?
Keep the battery clean and dry. Charge it with a suitable charger (current ≤ 5 A, voltage ≤ 14.4 V). For winter storage, keep it in a cool, dry place (10-15 °C) and recharge if unused for more than 3 months.
What is the recommended tyre pressure?
The recommended pressure is 1 bar (approx. 14.5 PSI). Check regularly with a foot pump.
How to replace the V-belt?
Loosen the safety nuts, remove the cutting deck covers, loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the old belt. Install the new belt following the routing indicated on the deck stickers, then tighten the tensioner pulley and reinstall the covers.
What to do if the engine does not start?
Check the fuel level, fuel quality, air filter, spark plug and battery. Make sure the parking brake is engaged, the cutting deck is disengaged and you are seated on the seat. Consult the fault table in the manual for more details.
