Congratulations! You have chosen to purchase a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the first time. Read the following instruc- tions for use carefully. Use the product only as described and only for the given areas of application. Store these instructions for use carefully. When passing the product on to third parties, please also hand over all accompanying documents. Package contents (Fig. A) 1 x privacy protection fan (1) 1 x protective cover (2) 1 x instructions for use Technical data Dimensions: approx. 140 x 140cm (H x D) Material: polyester, protection factor (UPF) 50+ The product corresponds to wind resistance class 2 (wind speed < 28km/h). The product must not be used in wind speeds greater than 28km/h for safety reasons! Date of manufacture (month/year): 01/2020 Intended use The product is designed as privacy protection for outdoor use, such as on balconies or terraces, and manuf- actured for private use. The product is not intended for commercial use. Safety information Life-threatening hazard!
- Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
- The product is not a toy or a climb- ing apparatus! Ensure that per- sons, especially children, do not pull themselves up on the product or stand on it. The product can tip over.
- Keep the protective cover out of reach of children. Risk of injury!
- Mind your fingers in particular when folding and unfolding the product. There is a risk of injury from crushing.
- The product may only be used under adult supervision and must not be used as a toy.
- Ensure the product is properly stabilised before using it.
- Keep open flames, barbecues, and patio heaters away from the product.
- In order to prevent damage to the product, do not hang anything from it. GB/IE/NI7
- Check that the product has been properly assembled before each use. Improper assembly can impair the product’s safety and functionality.
- The product must not be used in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, rain or snow.
- Fold up the product if wind speeds higher than 28km/h are expected (strong breeze, larger branches and trees move, and the wind is clearly audible).
- Pull the protective cover over the product if the wind picks up or in other adverse weather conditions.
- Never use the product as shelter during storms.
- Before opening or closing the product, ensure that there are no persons or objects in the opening or closing areas.
- Check the product for damage or wear before each use. The product may only be used if it is in perfect condition! Preventing damage to the product!
- Secure the product during extreme weather conditions, e.g. strong wind. Store the product in a sheltered area.
- Check the product regularly for visible signs of wear and damage. Check the screwed connections regularly. Important pre- installation information WARNING! Before you start installing the product, measure the height and depth. IMPORTANT! Ensure a minimum distance of 140cm in depth and 140cm + 15cm in height in the installation area so that you can pull the protective cover over the product (Fig. B). WARNING! Assembling the product requires at least two people due to its size. WARNING! As tools/machinery need to be used, manual skills are indispensable. Suitable installation site Masonry or a load-bearing timber beam ceiling are suitable for wall installation. Note: alternative installation conditions require inspection of load-bearing capacity and durability by a specialist. Suitable installation materials Before installing the product, the installation material must be determined. If the installation surface is load- bearing, the appropriate installation materials for fastening the product must be selected. GB/IE/NI8 GB/IE/NI Note: ask your local dealer about which mounting materials (wall plugs and screws) to use for your masonry. Assembly To assemble the product you will need the following tools (not included in the package contents): a suitable drill, measuring tape, and a screwdriver or spanner.
1. Remove the protective cover (2).
2. Place the product (1) in the
desired position and mark four holes with a pencil (Fig. B). Note: for easier assembly, fold the product up and insert the locking pin (1a) into the top hole.
3. Use the corresponding tool to drill
four holes into the marked points (Fig. B). IMPORTANT! Ensure a distance of 53mm between the horizontal holes and 48mm between the vertical holes.
4. When installing the product on
masonry, insert one wall plug (not included in the package contents) into each hole.
5. Mount the product onto the wall
with suitable mounting materials (not included in the package contents). Use
1. Remove the locking pin (1a) and
fold the product out.
2. Insert the locking pin (1a) into the
bottom hole between two of the product’s steel struts (Fig. C).
3. When the product is not in use,
remove the locking pin and fold the product up.
4. Insert the locking pin (1a) into
the top hole to lock the product (Fig. D). Note: fold the product up in the event of wind speed of 28km/h and higher!
