Before using the appliance for the first time please read carefully and thoroughly through these operating instructions and the safety advice, completely familiarising yourself with the appliance. Retain these instructions for future reference and pass them on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.
Intended use
This appliance has been designed exclusively for domestic use. It must only be used in accordance with these instructions. The manufacturer will not be held any responsibility for any damage caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
The device is intended for use as ash vacuum cleaner in accordance with its description and safety instructions. Any other type of use is considered to be in contradiction of the intended use and is not permitted.
Substances to be vacuumed - cold ashes from fireplaces, wood/coal stoves, ashtrays, grill.
Important advices

WARNING: Danger of Electric Shock!
- The vacuum cleaner should only be used in damp rooms if for your protection a residual-current-operated circuit breaker is connected upstream in the electric circuit. If you are not sure, ask a qualified electrician for advice.
- Disconnect the plug from the socket before you clean or service the appliance.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner on people or animals.
- Do not vacuum anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Do not expose the vacuum cleaner to outdoor weather conditions, dampness or heat. Do not leave the vacuum cleaner beside hot ovens, heaters or radiators.
Instructions for use 1
- Before plugging the appliance into the mains supply, make sure that the voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate.
- Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled.
- Do not unplug the appliance by tugging on the cable.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains supply when not in use and before proceeding to clean it or change the filters.
- Do not handle either the vacuum or the plug with wet hands. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not pull on either the cable or the suction tube to move the vacuum cleaner. Use the carrying handle.
- Do not use the appliance if either the cable or plug is damaged or if it can be detected that the appliance is not working correctly.
- When closing doors, make sure not to pinch the cable.
- At the end of its life, the vacuum cleaner should be disposed of in an appropriate manner.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Any rights under the guarantee are lost if these operating instructions are not followed. The guarantee does not cover wear parts or damage resulting from improper use (incorrect operation, dropping etc.); work on the vacuum cleaner carried out by third parties, or technical modifications to the vacuum cleaner.

WARNING:
- Do not use the device in potentially explosive rooms.
- Never use the device to suck up explosive liquids (such as heating oil, petrol, paint thinner, acetone) or dusts (such as magnesium or aluminium dusts), combustible gases or undiluted solvents and acids.
- Do not vacuum up soot.
- Only vacuum up ashes of admissible combustibility.
- Do not vacuum up hot, burning, or red hot objects (e.g. cigarettes, charcoal, ashes)
- The temperature of the vacuuming material must be below 40^ C. If it exceeds 40^ C, there is a risk of fire.
2 Instructions for use

ATTENTION: Vacuuming materials, which appear to have cooled
down, may still be very hot inside. Hot ash particles may ignite again with airflow. Wait until the fire is extinguished and the ashes have cooled down before you begin with the cleaning.
It is not recommended to quickly extinguish the fire with water.
Please make sure that ovens are cold before you vacuum to clean ovens. Temperature exceeding 40^ C may damage the vacuum cleaner and the components included.

CAUTION: In case of excessive temperatures, the tubes, the ash filter,
or the vacuum cleaner may be damaged. Completely empty the vacuum cleaner and the ash filter in a safe area after the vacuum cleaning. Let both appliances (vacuum cleaner and ash filter) cool down under supervision.
Danger for children
- Packing materials are not children's toys. Do not allow children to play with plastic bags: There is a risk of suffocation.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

General assembly instructions
Assembly
- Take out the vacuum cleaner and the accessories from the packaging.
- Release both metal clamps [7] and lift the top cover by the handle [2].
- Verify that the filter [9] and filter enclosure [10] are installed correctly.
- Close the canister [8] by placing the cover back and closing the metal clamps [7].
- Insert the flexible hose [5] short part into the hose connection [4] and turn counter-clockwise to secure it.
- Push the metal nozzle [1] onto the hose [5] longer part.

- Place the device on a flat, dry, non-slippery surface.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable, earthed mains outlet.
- Press the on/off switch [3] to switch on.
- Vacuum up the cold ashes.
- After use, switch off the device and unplug the power cord from the mains.
- Let the device cool off to room temperature.
CAUTION: Never use ash vacuum without the metal nozzle.
4 Instructions for use
Maintenance & Filter Cleaning

WARNING:
- Always remove the plug before cleaning.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the power head lid in water in order to clean it. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Removing and cleaning the filter

Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the outlet.
-
Release both metal clamps and take off the top cover.
-
Disconnect the flexible hose turning clockwise and pull.

Gently shake out the ashes from the hose and canister in a suitable dustbin.

Clean the canister with a humid towel, and then wipe it dry with a clean towel. Do not use cleaning agents.

Turn the filter enclosure [10] counter-clockwise to detach it from the top cover.

Gently shake out the ashes from the filter enclosure in a suitable dustbin.
-
Rinse the filter enclosure with fresh water, and then wipe it dry with a clean towel.
-
Pull the filter [9] carefully off the top cover.
-
Gently shake out the ashes from the filter in a suitable dustbin.
-
Use a soft paintbrush to clean the outside of the filter. Rinse the inside of the filter with cool water using a gentle stream, and then let it air-dry at room temperature.
Caution:
- Do not use warm or hot water to clean the filter. Do not use cleaning agents, hard brushes, or any other sharp instruments.
- Do not use any heating devices (such as hair dryers) to dry the filter. Leave it to dry in the air.
o Do not clean the filter or filter enclosure in a dishwasher.

- Wipe the top cover with a dry, clean cloth only. Warning! Never apply water to the top cover. Risk of electroshock.
- Use a soft brush to clean the air outlet.
- Make sure that all parts are completely dry, and then re-assemble the device. Warning! Any remaining humidity in the device can lead to damage to the electronics.
- Store the device in a dry place.

IMPORTANT!
- Cleaning should not be done indoors in living areas.
- Ashes contain a lot of fine dust. Wear a dust mask and safety goggles when operating and cleaning the device.

Packing

The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and marked with the recycling symbol. Follow local regulations for scrapping. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of reach of children, as they are
potentially dangerous.

The appliance is manufactured using recyclable material.
This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.

This symbol on the product, or on the documents accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Before disposal, make the appliance unusable by cutting off the power cable and removing the doors and shelves so that children cannot easily climb inside the appliance.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal. Deliver the appliance immediately to an authorized dump; do not leave it unattended even for a few days, since it is potentially dangerous for children.

Guarantee
This unit is covered by a 24 months (*) warranty, from the purchase date, and covers the repair free of charges of the damaged due to the manufacturer fault or defected components. The distributor reserves the right to change the unit for an equivalent model.
The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use, lightning, incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional damaged. The warranty does not cover damage thus attributable to falls, blows, spill, exposure to extreme environmental conditions or deterioration caused by normal use of plastic parts or keyboards, as well as by the use of batteries other than those specified in this manual.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the distributor or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and must be jointed the warranty certificated and the respective original invoice or selling ticket, where the buying date is expressed indicated.
The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive 1999/44/CE of European Parliament and Council of 25 May.
