How to connect the mouse wirelessly?

Plug the USB Type-C dongle into your computer. Turn on the mouse using the power switch (9). The 2.4 GHz connection establishes automatically. If needed, use the provided extension adapter to bring the dongle closer.

How to change the sensitivity (CPI)?

Quickly press the CPI button (8) to cycle through levels: purple (400), blue (800), green (1200), yellow (2400), red (3200). The scroll wheel blinks the corresponding color for 3 seconds.

How to change the polling rate?

Press and hold the CPI button (8) until the scroll wheel blinks. Release, then press and hold again to change the rate: red (1000 Hz), yellow (500 Hz), green (250 Hz), blue (125 Hz).

How to recharge the mouse?

Plug the provided USB Type-C cable into the mouse and a USB port. During charging, the scroll wheel blinks green for 5 seconds then turns off. The battery is lithium-ion rechargeable.

What does the scroll wheel color mean?

The scroll wheel indicates battery level: red (0-5%), yellow (6-10%), green (11-100%). It also blinks for CPI or polling rate settings. During use, it blinks red if the battery is low.

How to reset the mouse to factory settings?

Press and hold the CPI button (8) and both main buttons (1) simultaneously for 5 seconds. The scroll wheel blinks pink 3 times to confirm the reset.

Is the mouse compatible with Xbox?

Yes, the SteelSeries Prime Wireless mouse is compatible with PC, Mac, and Xbox. For use on Xbox, plug the USB Type-C dongle directly into the console.

Where to download the customization software?

Download SteelSeries Engine for free from the official website: steelseries.com/engine. The software allows customizing buttons, CPI levels, polling rates, and updates.

How to maintain the mouse?

Clean the mouse with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid contact with water, liquids, or moisture. Do not use abrasive cleaners. The PTFE feet should be cleaned gently.

What to do in case of battery leakage?

CPI BUTTON FUNCTIONS

CPI VALUE

Quick press the CPI Button 8 to change the CPI level. A solid color will appear on the Scroll Wheel 2 for three seconds to signify the CPI level.

Level 1 400 CPI Purple

Level 2 800 CPI Blue

Level 3 1200 CPI Green

Level 4 2400 CPI Yellow

Level 5 3200 CPI Red

POLLING RATE

Long press the CPI Button 8 to change the polling rate once. A flashing color will appear on the Scroll Wheel 2 for three seconds to signify the polling rate level. Long press again to cycle through polling rates.

Level 1 1000 Hz Red

Level 2 500 Hz Yellow

Level 3 250 Hz Green

Level 4 125 Hz Blue

FACTORY RESET

Press and hold the CPI Button ^8 and both Mouse Buttons ^1 together for five seconds.

The Scroll Wheel 2 will flash pink three times before all settings will be reset to the factory settings.

BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR

During use, the mouse will flash red when 5 % or less battery remains.

When turning on or waking from sleep, the mouse will flash a color to indicate remaining battery level:

Red 0–5% battery

Yellow 6–10% battery

Green 11–100% battery

When charging, the lighting will flash green for 5 seconds before resuming default lighting.
