How to connect the mouse in wireless 2.4 GHz mode?

Plug the USB Type-C dongle into a USB port on your device. Switch the wireless mode switch to the 2.4 GHz position. The mouse and dongle pair automatically. For manual pairing, use the SteelSeries Engine software.

How to connect the mouse via Bluetooth?

Enable Bluetooth on your device (version 5.1 or later). Hold down the CPI button and switch the wireless mode switch to Bluetooth. The mouse flashes blue. Select 'Aerox 9 Wireless' from the list of Bluetooth devices.

How to customize the buttons and lighting?

Download SteelSeries Engine from steelseries.com/engine. Use the interface to assign functions to buttons (macros, keys, etc.) and customize RGB lighting effects. The software is part of SteelSeries GG.

What to do if the mouse does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. Plug in the USB-C cable to charge. If the mouse does not respond, try resetting by holding down the left and right buttons for 5 seconds while plugging in the cable. If the problem persists, contact SteelSeries support.

How to check the battery level?

When powering on or waking up, the mouse flashes red (0-5%), yellow (6-10%), or green (11-100%). During use, a red flash indicates low battery (≤5%). You can also see the level in SteelSeries Engine.

Is the mouse compatible with my console?

Yes, the mouse is compatible with PC, Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation. For consoles, use wireless 2.4 GHz mode with the dongle or Bluetooth mode depending on the console. Note that some features may require an adapter.

How to clean the mouse?

Use a soft dry cloth to wipe the honeycomb surface. Avoid liquids and abrasive cleaners. For hard-to-reach areas, an anti-static brush can be used. Do not disassemble the mouse.

What is the battery life?

Battery life can be up to 180 hours in Bluetooth mode and up to 80 hours in 2.4 GHz mode. Actual battery life depends on usage, lighting, and settings.

How to reset the mouse?

To reset, hold down the left, right, and scroll wheel buttons for 5 seconds. Release, then the mouse will restart. You can also use SteelSeries Engine to restore default settings.

Can I use the mouse in wired mode?

Yes, you can use the mouse in wired mode by plugging in the provided USB-C cable. This also charges the battery. The mouse functions normally in wired mode.

CONNECTING VIA 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS

1 Connect the USB Type-C Wireless Dongle (11) to an available USB port on your device.
2 Toggle the Wireless Mode Switch (8) to the "2.4 GHz" position.
3 The Mouse and Dongle will automatically pair.
4 To further customize your Mouse, or re-pair a Wireless Dongle, download the SteelSeries Engine software from steelseries.com/engine

PAIRING VIA BLUETOOTH

1 Initiate Bluetooth pairing mode on your Bluetooth 5.1 or higher enabled device.
2 Hold the CPI Button (4) and toggle the Wireless Mode Switch (8) to the Bluetooth * position to turn on your Mouse.
3 The Mouse lighting will start blinking blue when searching for a connection.
4 Select "Aerox 9 Wireless" on your Bluetooth-enabled device.

DEFAULT MAPPING

By default the side buttons are mapped to the number keys of your Keyboard.

To change the mapping of your buttons, download SteelSeries Engine at steelseries.com/gg. Use our a user friendly interface to map your buttons to other keys, macros, and more.

During use, the mouse will flash red when 5 % or less battery remains.

When turning on or waking from sleep, the mouse will flash a color to indicate remaining battery level:

Red 0–5% battery

Yellow 6–10% battery

Green 11–100% battery

When charging, the lighting will flash green for 5 seconds before resuming default lighting.
