• Check the product for damage befo- re each use. If the appliance is visibly damaged, it must not be used.

• Do not carry out any modicaons or repairs to the appliance.

• Cauon! The blade unit is very sharp!

• Never touch the blades of the blade unit.

• Children must not play with the appli- ance.

• Do not insert any parts of the body or objects that are not intended for this purpose into the appliance.

• The appliance is intended for private use only.

• Misuse of the appliance can lead to possible injury.10 English

• The appliance may become blocked during operaon. In this case, turn the product upside down (to the on posion) and release the adjustment mechanism to release the blockage.

• Remove the baeries if the appliance is not to be used for a long period of me.

• Please always keep clean and avoid any contact with water.

1. Scope of delivery

4. Inserng the baeries

1. Unscrew the baery compartment cover an-clockwise and remove it from

2. Insert 6 × AAA 1.5V baeries into the baery compartment.

3. Replace the baery compartment cover on the housing and turn it clock-

4. Unscrew the lower part of the transparent container clockwise and remove

it from the housing.

5. Fill the peppercorns or rock salt up to 80% into the container. Make sure

that you do not ll too much. This will prevent you from overlling the grinder.

6. Place the container back on the body and screw it on to secure it.

7. Turn the adjustment knob on the top to set the grind. Turn it clockwise for

a ner grind and an-clockwise for a coarser grind.

8. To start the grinding process, turn the grinder upside down so that the

head is poinng downwards. The grinder starts grinding automacally.

7. Cleaning and care

Do not immerse the device in water.

• Remove the baeries before cleaning.

• Dismantle all parts.

• Wipe the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

8. Safety instrucons and disclaimer

Never aempt to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modicaons. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not approved for outdoor use; only use it in dry condions. Protect it from high humidi- ty, water and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden temperature changes or strong vibraons, as this could da- mage the electronic components.13English Check the device for damage before use. The appliance should not be used if it has been knocked or damaged in any other way. Please observe the naonal regula- ons and restricons. Do not use the device for purposes other than those descri- bed in the instrucons. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or modicaon to the appliance that is not carried out by the original supplier will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The appliance may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instrucons. The device specicaons may change without prior noce.

9. Disposal instrucons

According to the European WEEE Direcve, electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of with household waste. Their components must be recycled or disposed of separately, as toxic and hazardous components can cause lasng damage to the environment if disposed of incorrectly. 10. Notes on baery disposal

In connecon with the sale of baeries or the delivery of devices containing bae- ries, the supplier is obliged to inform the customer of the following: The customer is legally obliged to return used baeries as the end user. The cus- tomer can return used baeries that the supplier carries or has carried as new baeries free of charge to the supplier‘s dispatch warehouse (dispatch address). The symbols shown on the baeries have the following meaning: Pb = baery con- tains more than 0.004 per cent lead by mass, Cd = baery contains more than

0.002 per cent cadmium by mass, Hg = baery contains more than 0.0005 per cent

mercury by mass. Aenon! Keep the baeries and the appliance out of the reach of children. Baeries contain acids that are harmful to health. Weak baeries should be replaced as soon as pos- sible to prevent leakage! Never use new and old baeries or baeries of dierent types at the same me.
