• Check the product for damage every me before use. The appliance should not be used if it is damaged.

• Cauon! The blade unit is very sharp!

• Never touch the blades of the blade unit.

• Children should not play with the ap- pliance.

• Do not insert any body parts or items that they are not intended for the pur- pose, into the appliance.

• The appliance may be blocked dur- ing use. In this case turn the product upside down (in the On posion) and loosen the adjustment mechanism to clear the blockage.

• Remove the baeries if the appliance is not going to be used for a long me.

• Please always keep it clean and avoid contact with water.

1. Scope of delivery

4. Inserng the baeries

1. Unscrew the cap at the boom of the appliance.

2. Remove the baery compartment from the housing.

3. Insert 6 AAA 1.5 V baeries into the baery compartment.

4. Replace the baery compartment back into the housing and screw the cap

1. Place the appliance in an upright posion and remove the grinder head by

holding the housing and turning the head counter-clockwise.

2. Fill the chamber with salt or pepper through the side opening. Take care

not to ll too much. This prevents overlling the grinder.

3. Replace the head and turn clockwise to lock it.

To start grinding, turn the grinder upside down, so that the head is facing down. The appliance automacally starts to grind. Turn the grinding level dial, which is located on the grinding head to vary from ne to coarse grinding.

7. Cleaning and Care

Do not immerse the appliance in water.

• Remove the baeries before cleaning.

• Dismantle all the parts.

• Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.

8. Safety instrucons and disclaimer

Never try to open the appliance to repair or make modicaons. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The appliance is not ap- proved for outdoor use. Therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Do not expose the appliance to high temper- atures. Do not expose the appliance to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibraons, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the appliance for damage before using it. The appliance should not be used if it has been subject to impact or has been damaged in any other manner. Please comply with the local regulaons and restricons. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a13English toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repair or modicaon to the appliance, which is not carried out by the original supplier, will void any warranty and guarantee claims. The appliance should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specicaons of the appliance may be changed without any special prior nocaon.

9. Disposal instrucons

In line with the European WEEE direcve, electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of along with domesc waste. Their components have to be sent separately for recycling or disposal, as improper disposal of toxic and dan- gerous components may permanently damage the environment. 10. Instrucons for baery disposal

In conjuncon with the sale of baeries along with the supply of appliances that include baeries, the supplier is obliged to point out the following to the customer: The customer is legally obliged to return used baeries. He can return used bat- teries which the supplier oers or has oered as new baeries in his assortment free of charge to the supplier's dispatch warehouse (shipping address).
