QUICK SETUP Keep your thermometer and the wireless outdoor transmitter close to each other. Main unit : slide open the battery cover at the back, insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Make sure the channel switch is located at 1 position. Your thermometer will receive temperature data from your outdoor transmitter in few seconds. Then place your transmitter in a dry and shaded area. The transmission distance (60-meter line-of-sight) may vary on the obstruction (roof, walls, floors, ceilings, thick trees etc.), which will effectively cut signal range in half. Battery Replacement Thermometer: when the LCD becomes dim or unclear, replace the batteries with new ones. Wireless transmitter: when the low battery icon appears on the LCD, replace the batteries with new ones. Batteries safety warnings Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries. Install batteries correctly by matching the polarities (+/-). Always replace a complete set of batteries. Never mix used and new batteries. Remove exhausted batteries immediately. Remove batteries when not in use.EN3 Do not recharge and do not dispose of batteries in fire as the batteries may explode. Ensure batteries are stored away from metal objects as contact may cause a short circuit. Avoid exposing batteries to extreme temperature or humidity or direct sunlight.
