Frequently Asked Questions - WS 9114 TECHNOLINE

How to install the wireless thermometer WS 9114?
Place the main unit and the outdoor transmitter close to each other. Open the battery compartment cover of the main unit, insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries respecting polarity. Do the same for the outdoor transmitter ensuring the channel switch is set to position 1. Outdoor temperature data will appear on the main display within a few seconds.
What is the transmission range between the main unit and the outdoor transmitter?
The transmission range is 60 meters in open field. Obstacles such as roofs, walls, floors or thick trees can reduce the effective range by half.
What to do if the display shows 'HH.H' or 'LL.L'?
The display 'HH.H' or 'LL.L' means the measured temperature is outside the measurement range. For indoor, the range is 0°C to +50°C; for outdoor, -25°C to +70°C. Move the sensor to an area where the temperature is within this range.
How to replace the batteries of the main unit and the transmitter?
For the main unit, replace the batteries when the display becomes dim. For the transmitter, replace the batteries when the low battery icon appears on the screen. Always use new AAA alkaline batteries and respect polarity.
Can I use multiple outdoor transmitters with this thermometer?
Yes, the WS 9114 thermometer can receive signals from up to 3 outdoor transmitters. Each transmitter must be set to a different channel (1, 2 or 3) via the switch located in the battery compartment.
How to change the channel of the outdoor transmitter?
Open the battery compartment cover of the transmitter. You will see a small switch (C2, C3, or C4 depending on the model?). Set it to the desired channel (1, 2 or 3). Close the cover. The main unit should detect the new channel automatically.
What to do if the thermometer no longer displays outdoor temperature (no signal)?
Check that the transmitter batteries are in good condition and correctly installed. Make sure the transmitter is within range (less than 60 meters in open field) and that there are no major obstacles. You can also reset by removing the batteries from both devices for a few seconds, then reinserting them.
How to clean the WS 9114 thermometer?
Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Avoid any contact with water, do not immerse the device in water and do not expose it to excessive humidity.
Where should I place the outdoor transmitter for best accuracy?
Place the outdoor transmitter in a dry and shaded location, sheltered from direct sunlight and weather. Avoid metal surfaces or other sources of interference. Ideally, install it outdoors, at least 1.5 meters above the ground.
How to dispose of the thermometer and used batteries?
Used batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. Return them to your retailer or a collection point. The end-of-life device must be deposited at a local recycling center for electronic waste, in accordance with European regulations.

QUICK SETUP

Keep your thermometer and the wireless outdoor transmitter close to each other.

Main unit : slide open the battery cover at the back, insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Pay attention to the correct polarity.

Outdoor transmitter: slide open the battery cover at the back, insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Pay attention to the correct polarity. Make sure the channel switch is located at 1 position.

Your thermometer will receive temperature data from your outdoor transmitter in few seconds. Then place your transmitter in a dry and shaded area. The transmission distance (60-meter line-of-sight) may vary on the obstruction (roof, walls, floors, ceilings, thick trees etc.), which will effectively cut signal range in half.
