How to start the machine for the first time?

Plug in the machine, press the power button, select the language on the touch screen and follow the on-screen instructions for rinsing and heating. Set water hardness if necessary.

What to do if the machine does not turn on?

Check that the machine is plugged into a working power outlet (120 V). If the screen remains off, press the power button again. If the problem persists, contact the Nespresso Club.

How to prepare a milk coffee with froth?

Fill the milk pitcher with cold milk (max level MAX). Select a milk-based beverage (e.g. Cappuccino) on the touch screen. Place the pitcher on the drip tray's thermal sensor. The frothing cycle starts automatically. You can adjust the froth level and temperature in the settings.

Why is the coffee not hot enough?

Preheat the cup with the hot water function. Check that the milk temperature setting (for milk-based drinks) is high enough. If the problem persists, descale the machine.

What to do if the capsule insertion lever does not close?

Empty the capsule container and check that no capsule is stuck inside. Do not put fingers inside the machine. If the problem persists, contact Nespresso.

How to descale the machine?

Use exclusively the Nespresso descaling kit. Go to MENU, select 'Descale' and follow the on-screen instructions. The cycle takes about 15 minutes. Regular descaling preserves coffee taste and machine lifespan.

Why is the milk froth not good?

Use whole or semi-skimmed milk, fresh and cold (4-6 °C). Check that the steam wand is clean and the pitcher is well placed on the thermal sensor. Run a steam wand cleaning cycle via MENU.

How to clean the steam wand?

Go to MENU, select 'Clean steam wand' and follow the on-screen instructions. This cycle removes milk residues and prevents blockages. To be done daily.

The descaling alert is displayed, what to do?

The machine alerts that descaling is needed. If not done after 30 uses, the machine will lock. Follow the descaling procedure described in the manual (use Nespresso kit).

Where to find compatible Nespresso capsules?

Use exclusively original Nespresso capsules, available from the Nespresso Club or authorized retailers. Using other capsules may damage the machine and void the warranty.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Nespresso Breville Creatista Pro, the machine that allows you to make cafe quality milk coffees.

Nespresso is an exclusive system creating the perfect Espresso, time after time. Each parameter has been calculated with great precision to ensure that all the aromas from each capsule can be extracted, to give the coffee body and create an exceptionally thick and smooth crema.

Avoid risk of fatal electrical shock and fire

Avoid possible harm when operating the appliance

Risk of scalding by hot liquids. If the machine is forced open hot liquids and coffee grounds may splash. Always lock the system completely and never open it during operation.

Be careful, capsule is hot. Risk of scalding. If a capsule is blocked in the capsule compartment, turn the machine off and unplug it before any operation. Call the Nespresso Club or Nespresso authorized representative for assistance.

Avoid risk of fatal electrical shock and fire

• In case of emergency: immediately remove the plug from the power outlet.

Only plug the appliance into suitable, easily accessible, grounded outlets. Make sure that the voltage of the power source is the same as that specified on the rating plate. The use of an incorrect voltage or frequency of electricity voids the warranty.

Avoid possible harm when operating the appliance

- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.

•Caution should be exercised when plugging in the coffee machine with the button pressed as the machine evacuates remaining liquids using heat. Small quantities of steam may pour out of the machine.

Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not operating perfectly. Immediately remove the plug from the power outlet.

Contact the Nespresso Club or Nespresso authorized representative for examination, repair or adjustment.

A damaged appliance can cause electric shocks, burns and fire.

Do not put fingers under coffee or steam wand outlet; risk of scalding.

Do not put fingers into the capsule compartment or capsule shaft; risk of injury!

Water could flow around a capsule when not perforated by the blades and damage the appliance.

Be careful not to injure yourself on sharp points or trap your fingers when reaching inside the machine.

Beware of hot liquids when reaching inside the machine.

Only use capsules intended for this appliance. If the capsule does not fit, do not force the capsule into the appliance.

WARNING: To avoid the risk of injury, do not open the brew chamber during the brew process.

Never use a damaged or deformed capsule.

Always fill the water tank with fresh potable water.

Do not overfill water tank.

Empty water tank if the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time (holidays, etc.).

Replace water in water tank when the appliance is not operated during a weekend or a similar period of time.

Do not use the appliance without a cup placed at the suitable cup support level and ensure the cup support is in place after any usage, to avoid spilling any liquid on surrounding surfaces.

Do not use any strong cleaning agent or solvent cleaner.

Use a damp cloth and mild cleaning agent to clean the surface of the appliance.

Do not use a steam or pressure cleaner to clean the appliance. This will damage the appliance and may create a life-threatening hazard.

This appliance is designed for Nespresso coffee capsules available exclusively through the Nespresso Club or your Nespresso authorized representative.

For your own safety, you should use only parts and appliance accessories from Nespresso that are designed for your appliance.

All Nespresso appliances pass stringent controls.

Reliability tests under practical conditions are randomly performed on selected units. Some units can therefore show traces of previous use.

Use cold milk for better quality froth.

Recommend using fresh cold milk.

Short cord instructions

The appliance is provided with an attached cord having a length less than 4 1/2 feet (1.4 meters).

- Use the power cord supplied with the device in an unmodified form. It is important for user safety that the appliance is only used with a suitably grounded electrical supply.

a) A short power supply cord or detachable power supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

b) Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

c) If a long detachable power cord or extension cord is used:

1) The marked electrical rating or the detachable power cord or extension should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,

2) The appliance is grounded and only grounded extension cord should be used (type 3-wire cord).

3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not dangle over the countertop or tabletop, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

The appliance has a grounded plug (two blades and one round pin).

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a grounded outlet only one way.

Descaling

Nespresso descaling agent, when used correctly, helps to ensure the proper functioning of your machine over its lifetime and that your coffee experience is as perfect as on the first day.

For coffee and coffee&milk machines, descale according to user manual recommendations or specific alerts.

Adjusting Regular / Milk Coffee Drinks

Select Clean Steam Wand from the MENU and follow the on-screen steps.

② Empty the drip tray and capsule container every day. Remove and clean the cup support and wipe inside the machine. Remove and clean the water tank with an odorless detergent and rinse with warm water.

3 Rinse and dry the milk jug after each use. If required, use a mild detergent.

4 Dry all parts with a soft clean cloth and reassemble machine. Wipe coffee outlet and machine regularly with a clean damp cloth.

Language

Factory Reset

Erases all settings and returns unit to factory settings.

Duration approximately 15 minutes.

Read the important safeguard on the descaling package and refer to the table for the frequency of use. The descaling solution can be harmful. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and surfaces. Never use any product other than the Nespresso descaling kit available at Nespresso to avoid damage to your machine. The following table will indicate the descaling frequency required for the optimum performance of your machine, based on water hardness. For any additional questions you may have regarding descaling, please contact Nespresso.

Descaling: Removes scale build-up, maintains coffee taste and prevents machine damage. Frequency will depend on your water hardness and amount of use. Descale when prompted on-screen. The machine will stop you from use if the descale cycle has not been performed after 30 uses. A "lockout" count-down will appear to alert you of the number of uses remaining until usage will stop.

and select Descale. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Display is dim and hard to see/read.	- Screen brightness is set on a low setting.- Press POWER button to turn ON.	- Adjust the screen brightness setting. Navigate to Menu and select Screen Brightness.
Fill Water Tank prompt remains on screen (water tank is full).	- Check if the water tank is correctly positioned. - If problem persists, call Nespresso.

EN Troubleshooting Milk Froth Preparation

Milk steam cycle does not start.	- Check if the water tank is correctly positioned, if empty, fill with fresh potable water.- Check steam tip for any blockages and ensure wand is lowered.
Quality of froth not up to standard.	- Be sure to use pasteurised whole or semi-skimmed milk at refrigerated temperature (about 4-6 °C / 39-43° F). For a better result, the milk should be newly opened.- Check the milk froth setting.	- Use the provided milk jug.- Clean both the milk jug and steam wand after each use.- Complete Steam Wand Cleaning Cycle. Navigate to the MENU and select Clean Steam Wand, follow the on-screen prompts.
Steam is very wet.	- Use fresh, potable water.Do not use highly filtered, demineralised or distilled water.
Milk overflows.	- Fill jug with appropriate milk volume. DO NOT fill above the MAX level.- Minimum and maximum levels are marked on the inside and outside of the jug.	- To stop overflow, either reduce the initial volume of milk and/or reduce the froth level. This varies depending on milk type.
Milk temperature is too hot.	- Use the milk jug provided.- Check the milk jug is positioned correctly on the milk jug temperature sensor in the drip tray.- Check the temperture sensor in the drip tray is dry and clean.	- Decrease the milk temperature setting.
Milk temperature is not hot enough.	- Preheat cup.- Use the provided milk jug.- Check the milk jug is positioned on the temperature sensor in the drip tray.	- Increase the milk temperature setting.- Check the steam tip for blockages.
Clean Steam Wand alert is displayed.	- Clean the steam wand.	- Navigate to the Menu and select Clean Steam Wand. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Terms Of Warranty Coverage: Breville provides the Warranty coverage as further described below and limited to the terms and conditions hereof: 1. Breville hereby provides a limited non-transferable Product Warranty for two (2) years from the date of purchase of the subject Product (the "Warranty") against defects in Product materials or workmanship. Effect Of The Warranty: 1. Within the Warranty Period, Breville may, at their sole discretion: (i) repair the Product with new or refurbished parts, (ii) replace the Product entirely, either with a new or refurbished Product at no additional charge to consumer, or (iii) reimburse the consumer the amount of the original purchase price (a "Reimbursement"); (iv) replace defective parts that meet the performance specifications of new parts for any applicable Product. 2. Only Breville or Breville-authorized accessories and replacement parts should be sought for use by consumer for any Product as the use of other non-Breville, or non-authorized accessories and replacement parts voids any Warranty by Breville which may be applicable to such Product. 3. All exchanged or substituted parts and Products replaced under Warranty service will become the property of Breville. 4. Products requiring maintenance or replacement due to normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust, stain, age or Products damaged due to any improper or discouraged use, mishandling, negligence, excessive wear and tear, including damages caused by maintaining, operating or using the Product in a manner not consistent with, in accordance with, or not contemplated by the instruction manual provided with the Product, or by otherwise failing to follow safety, operating, care or cleaning instructions;

3. Products where the product number model or serial number has been removed, replaced, altered or rendered illegible;
4. Products which have been altered, modified and repaired in any way not expressly authorized in the instruction book provided with the Product or by any party not authorized by Breville as an Authorized Servicer;
5. Cosmetic damages (examples include, but are not limited to, scratches, imprint/water marks, cracks and dents, stains, etc.);
6. Products that have been damaged directly or indirectly from the use of a third party product;
7. Products damaged as a result of acts of nature e.g. fire, flood, or lightning;
8. Products damaged as a result of connection to irregular current or voltage sources, or use on electric or other current or voltage other than that marked on the Product, or any instruction book;
9. Products for which a consumer has no Proof of Purchase or for which the applicable Warranty Period has expired;
10. Products not purchased from Breville or through a Breville-authorized distributor or Product reseller (for example non-authorized sellers online, at auction, or otherwise, such as, without limitation, and independent e-commerce sites not authorized by Breville); or
11. Products returned by the consumer without request or instruction by Breville which are lost, misdelivered or damaged in transit.

HOW TO CLAIM UNDER THE BREVILLE NESPRESSO WARRANTY

Nespresso is handling product inquiries and servicing on behalf of Breville. If you believe your product is defective, contact Nespresso customer service team directly through the contact information set out above for instructions on where to send or bring your product for repair.

WARRANTY NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY

California residents may initiate Warranty service by calling toll-free at 1-800-562-1465. California law also provides that for any Warranty service for a Product, California residents have the option of returning the Product (a) to the retailer from which it was originally purchased, or (b) to another retailer that sells the same Breville or Nespresso Product, among other rights and consumer protections. California residents need only supply their Proof of Purchase in each case above, or to contact Breville or Nespresso for Warranty service, should call Nespresso Consumer Support for specific instructions. Breville will only be responsible for the cost of repair, replacement or Reimbursement and shipping and handling for such Products under this Warranty. A retail store to which a California resident returns a Product for Warranty service may refer the consume to a Breville Authorized Servicer, replace the Product, or refund the purchase price less the amount directly attributable to the consumer's usage of the Product. If the above options do not result in the appropriate remedy to the consumer, the consumer may then take the Product to an independent repair facility if service or repair can be economically accomplished. Breville, and not the consumer, will be responsible for the reasonable cost of such service, repair, replacement, or Reimbursement during the Warranty Period for the Product if such Product is subject to Breville Warranty.
