• Do not allow the power cable to hang down over the edge of the sink, worktop or table.

• Never submerge the appliance in water or another liquid.

• The appliance needs to dissipate its heat in order to prevent re. Therefore it is vital to make sure that the appliance has su cient clearance on all sides and cannot come into contact with ammable materials. The appliance may not be covered up.

• Do not use the appliance near explosives or ammable materials.

• Do not use a metal scouring pad to clean the appliance. Fragments of metal could come loose and touch the appliance’s electrical parts causing it to short circuit.

Before rst Use Clean the baking plate, stone and trays before using the appliance for the rst time (see Cleaning and Care). The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the rst time. This is normal, and will soon stop. Make sure the appliance has sucient ventilation. Keep house birds away from the appliance when it is in use; fumes released from the non-stick coating when the grill plate is hot can cause stress to birds. Preheating

1. Put the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.

2. Put the plug into the wall socket.

3. Turn on the unit by “On/Off” switch for cooking.

4. Wait a few minutes before the set temperature is reached. The appliance is

now ready for use.14
