How to set up the Archer AXE75 router?

Plug in the router, connect to its Wi-Fi network (default SSID and password on the label), open a browser and enter http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1. Create an administrator password, then follow the quick setup wizard.

What to do if the login page does not appear?

Check that your computer receives an IP address automatically. Enter the correct address (also try http://192.168.1.1). Use a different browser or restart the router. If the problem persists, disable and re-enable the network adapter.

How to reset the router to factory settings?

With the router powered on, press and hold the Reset button on the back for about 5 seconds until the LEDs flash. Release, the router will reboot with default settings.

I forgot the management interface password. What to do?

Reset the router (see previous question), then log in again with the new password created during initial setup or with the default credentials: admin as username and password.

How to find or change the Wi-Fi password?

The default Wi-Fi password is on the label under the router. To change it, log into the management interface (http://tplinkwifi.net), go to Wireless > Security and enter a new password.

How to update the router's firmware?

Log into the management interface, go to System Tools > Firmware Update. Click Check for Update or manually download the latest firmware from TP-Link website and upload it.

How to set up a guest network?

In the management interface, go to Wireless > Guest Network. Enable the guest network, set an SSID and password, choose the band (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz), and save.

How to enable parental controls?

Use the TP-Link Tether app or web interface. Go to Parental Controls, add devices to monitor, and set time schedules or content limits.

How to configure a VPN on the router?

Log into the management interface, go to VPN. Choose the type (OpenVPN, PPTP, or L2TP), import the configuration files provided by your VPN provider, then enable the service.

What to do if I have no Internet access after setup?

Check that the modem is powered on and properly connected to the WAN port. Restart modem and router. If using a cable modem, enable MAC address cloning in the management interface. Contact your ISP if the problem persists.

Hardwareinstallation

Connect the Hardware

If your Internet connection is through an Ethernet cable from the wall instead of through a DSL/ Cable/Satellite modem, connect the Ethernet cable directly to the router's Internet port, and skip Step 2,3,5 to complete the hardware connection.

1 Install the antennas. If the antennas are already fixed, move to the next step.
2 Turn off the modem, and remove the backup battery if it has one.
3 Connect the modem to the Internet (or WAN) port on your router with an Ethernet cable.
4 Turn on the router, and wait for it to start.
5 Turn on the modem.

Configure via Web Browser

1 Connect your computer to the router (Wired or Wireless).

Wired:
Turn off the Wi-Fi on your computer and connect your computer to the router's LAN (1/2/3/4) port using an Ethernet cable.

Wireless:

Connect your computer to the router wirelessly. The SSID and Wireless Password are on the router's label.

2 Enter http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar of a web browser. Create a password for future login attempts, or use admin for both username and password for some routers. Note: If the login window does not appear, please refer to FAQ > Q1.
3 Go to Quick Setup page, and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the initial configuration.

Q1. What can I do if the login window does not appear?

• If the computer is set to a static or fixed IP address, change the setting to obtain an IP address automatically.
• Verify that http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 is correctly entered in the web browser. Alternatively, enter http://192.168.1.1 in the web browser.
• Use another web browser and try again.
• Reboot your router and try again.
• Disable and enable the network adapter in use again.

Q2. What can I do if I cannot access the internet?

• Check if the Internet is working properly by connecting a computer directly to the modem via an Ethernet. If it is not, contact your Internet Service Provider.

• For cable modem users, reboot the modem first. If the problem still exists, log into the Web Management page of the router to clone MAC address.

Q3. How do I restore the router to its factory default settings?

Q4. What can I do if I forgot my web management password?

Refer to FAQ >Q3 to reset the router, and then create a password for future login attempts, or use admin for both username and password for some routers.

Q5. What can I do if I forgot my wireless network password?

• If you have not changed the default Wireless Password, it can be found on the product label of the router.
• Log in to the web management page of the router to retrieve or reset your wireless password.
