INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
WARNINGS
- Your appliance has been designed for domestic use only. It is not intended for use in the following situations which are not covered by the warranty:
- in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other professional environments,
- in farm hostels,
- by guests in hotels, motels and other residential environments,
- in bed and breakfast type environments.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and that they fully understand the potential hazards.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
- Do not place the appliance in or near hot gas or electric burner, or permit to touch a heated oven or mini oven.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
- Do not use outdoors.
- Place the appliance on a stable flat surface while in operation.

When using the appliance, please make sure that adequate space is provided above and on all sides of the appliance for air circulation.

Do not position or use this grill near or below combustible materials such as curtains, paper towels or stand on a table cloth without heat protection.
- Always switch off and unplug cord from the mains socket when not in use, before moving or cleaning.
- Do not immerse the appliance, the power cord and plug in water or other liquids.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
- The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Make sure your hands are dry before touching the appliance, power cord or plug.
- Never use the appliance without the cooking plates.

Remove all packaging materials.
The supplied two raclette trays are fixed on the bottom of the base. Unlock and remove them before using the appliance.

Clean the cooking plate, trays and spatulas before using the appliance for the first time (See Cleaning and Maintenance).
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Allow the appliance to heat for 10 minutes without any food before using it for the first time. The appliance may emit a little smoke and smell. This is normal and will soon stop. Make sure that the appliance has sufficient ventilation.
OPERATION
- Place the base on a clean flat and heat-resistant surface.
- Connect the appliance with the supplied power cord and plug the cord into the mains socket.
- Switch on the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch to I.
- Place the cooking tray onto the base and preheat the appliance for a few minutes.
- Place the food you want to cook on the plate.
- Cook the food until it is done.
- During cooking, turn the food over occasionally to ensure that both sides are evenly cooked.
- Remove the food from the plate and place on a plate.
- You can also fill the trays with pieces of cheese, meat, fish or vegetables and put them onto tray surface under the heating element when cooking.
- Remove the trays from the appliance once the food is done, or the cheese has melted.
- When you have finished cooking, switch off the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch to O.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power cord and unplug the cord from the mains socket.
Connecting same appliances together
The appliance is equipped with a socket on the side and allow connection with up to three same appliances in parallel. The distance between each appliance shall be at least 30cm

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the cooking plate, trays and the base after each use.
- Remove the plug from the mains socket and disconnect the appliance from the power cord. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
- Clean the base with a damp cloth.
- Clean the cooking plate, trays and spatulas in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Never immerse the base, power cord and plug in water or any other liquids.
Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents.
Surfaces in contact with food should be cleaned regularly to avoid cross contamination from different types of food, the use of warm soapy water is advisable when dealing with surfaces that come into contact with food.
Correct food hygiene practices should always be followed at all times to avoid possibility of food poisoning /cross contamination.
WARRANTY
The warranty period for our products is 2 years, unless otherwise stated, starting from the date of initial purchase or the date of delivery.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The warranty covers all failures occurring under normal use, in accordance with the usage and specifications in the user's manual.
This warranty does not apply to packaging or transportation problems during shipment of the product by the owner. It also does not include normal wear and tear of the product, nor maintenance or replacement of consumable parts.
EXCLUSION OF WARRANTY
- Accessories and wearing parts (*).
- Normal maintenance of the device.
- All breakdowns resulting from improper use (shocks, failure to comply with power supply recommendations, poor conditions of use, etc.), insufficient maintenance or misuse of the device, as well as the use of unsuitable accessories.
- Damage of external origin: fire, water damage, electrical surge, etc.
- Any equipment that has been disassembled, even partially, by persons other than those authorized to do so (notably the user).
- The products whose serial number would be missing, deteriorated or illegible that would not allow its identification.
- The products subjected to leasing, demonstration, or exhibition.
(*) Some parts of your device, called wear parts or consumables, deteriorate with time and frequency of use of your device. This wear and tear are normal but can be accentuated by poor conditions of use or maintenance of your device. These parts are therefore not covered by the warranty.
The accessories supplied with the device are also excluded from the warranty. They cannot be exchanged or refunded. However, some accessories can be purchased directly through our website: https://sav.hkoenig.com/.
