Frequently Asked Questions - Hopfengott 30 OneConcept

How to start automatic 4-step brewing?
After plugging in and turning on the appliance, press the STEP SET / START / OFF key to enter programming mode. Set the temperature, duration, and power for each step (S1 to S4) using the TEMP, TIMER, and POWER keys. Once the four steps are programmed, press and hold the STEP SET / START / OFF key for 3 seconds to start the cycle.
What to do if the appliance does not heat up after programming the steps?
Make sure you have pressed and held the STEP SET / START / OFF key for at least 3 seconds to start. Also check that the power cord is properly plugged in and the switch is in the ON position.
How to clean the parts that come into contact with the wort?
After each brew, clean all removable parts (perforated plate, filter tube, filter support, pump, etc.) with warm water and mild detergent. Do not put them in the dishwasher. For the hoses, circulate hot water using the pump.
Why does the water not flow to the outlet tap?
Check that the outlet tap is open and the pump is properly connected via the quick connector. If air bubbles block the pump, ensure the water level exceeds the outlet opening, close the pump, then open the tap to release air.
How to calibrate the temperature if it does not match an external thermometer?
Simultaneously press the SET + and SET - keys to enter calibration mode. Then use SET + or SET - to correct the display by ±10 °C. Wait 5 seconds to confirm the new value.
Can I brew a quantity less than the maximum capacity?
Yes, you can use less liquid and malt. However, for optimal pump operation and dry-run protection, make sure there is at least 3 liters of water in the tank.
What does the 'E1' display on the control panel mean?
The 'E1' error indicates that the temperature sensor cable is not connected to the electronic board. Check the sensor connection and reconnect if necessary.
How to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Press and hold the TEMP key for 3 seconds. The display toggles between °C and °F. Temperature settings will then be made in the selected unit.
Can I interrupt the current program?
Yes, press and hold the STEP SET / START / OFF key for 3 seconds to turn off the appliance. You can also unplug the power cord. Once restarted, you will need to reprogram the steps.
Is it mandatory to declare home beer production?
In some countries, it is legally mandatory to declare home beer production to the relevant authorities. Please check with your local administration.
