How to replace the batteries of the Hama LP10 pointer?

To replace the batteries, open (unscrew) the housing. Insert 3 LR41 button cells, respecting polarity (+/-). Carefully close the product.

The laser pointer does not turn on, what to do?

First check the battery status: replace with new ones if necessary. Make sure the contacts are clean. If the problem persists, check that the battery compartment is properly closed and that the laser button works mechanically.

Is the laser dangerous for the eyes?

Yes, the laser is class 2 and can cause retinal damage from direct exposure. Never look directly into the beam and do not point it at people. If the beam reaches your eyes, close your eyes and turn your head away.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

The manual recommends using exclusively the indicated battery type, i.e., non-rechargeable LR41 button cells. Rechargeable batteries have a different voltage and could damage the device.

How to clean the pointer?

Clean it only with a slightly damp lint-free cloth. Avoid any harsh detergents that could damage the surfaces.

How to use the telescopic pointer?

Remove the cap to deploy the telescopic pointer (E). It is used to point at distant points. Close it after use.

What to do in case of ingestion of a button cell?

Ingestion of a button cell can cause severe internal burns in less than 2 hours and be fatal. Seek medical attention immediately. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children.

Where to find the warning stickers in my language?

A kit of warning stickers in several languages is provided. Select the one corresponding to your language and affix it to the product if the factory sticker is not in your language.

How to dispose of the product at end of life?

In accordance with European directives 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/EC, do not dispose of the device or batteries with household waste. Drop them off at a designated collection point or at a retailer.

What is the range of the laser pointer?

The effective range depends on ambient brightness, but a class 2 laser < 1 mW (640-660 nm) is generally visible up to several tens of meters in darkness. The manual does not specify an exact value.
