SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. IF YOU NEED TO USE AN EXTENSION LEAD, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU USE A MODEL FITTED WITH AN EARTH PLUG.
• CHECK THAT YOUR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION IS SUFFICIENT FOR SUPPLYING THIS APPLIANCE.
  DO NOT PUT IT ON TOP OF ANOTHER APPLIANCE.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND LET IT COOL DOWN COMPLETELY BEFORE ANY CLEANING OPERATION.

III. SET UP AND USE

Before first use

Unpacking the appliance and disposing of the packaging elements:

Remove all packing materials that is protecting the appliance and the protective elements inside the appliance compartments.

• The packing box and the papers sheets are recyclable. They must be thrown in the collection bins provided for this purpose.

• The materials bearing the symbol are recyclable:

PE < = polyethylene; >PS < = polystyrene; >PP < = polypropylene

This means that they can be recycled by depositors in appropriate collection containers.

• The other packaging elements (adhesive, fasteners ...) must be thrown away with household waste.

• Wash all accessories with a sponge damped with dishwashing liquid. Rinse thoroughly and dry them with a clean cloth. The plates can be put into a dishwasher.
• Clean the outer body with a dry clean cloth. Do not immerse the appliance into water. Do not put the appliance into a dishwasher.
• Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface.
• Plug your appliance into an earth socket.
• Before the first use, always heat up the appliance to burn the protective fat and to eliminate smells when you buy new appliances.
• The light indicator will switch on to indicate the appliance is functioning.
• Let the appliance on for 15 minutes.
  Air the room during this operation.

NOTE: It is normal that strange odor comes out from the unit for the first use. This will cease after a short while. Do not forget to air the room during this operation.

Using your appliance

• Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface.
• Completely unroll the power cord.
• Select one of the three cooking plates to be used and follow below steps to insert the plates:

1. Place the plate on top of the heating element.
2. Insert the 2 pins of the plate into the holes located opposing the handle.
3. Push the plate until the "Click" locking sound.

4. Do the same for the upper plate.

5. To change the plate, see below steps:

6. Press on the 2 unlock push buttons et push towards the handle.

7. Retrieve the plate by the top.
8. Push the plate until the "Click" locking sound.
9. Do the same for the upper plate.

• If you use the grill plates, ensure to insert the grease tray at the bottom of the appliance.

• Close the appliance and lock it with the lock flap.
• Plug in your appliance, the pre-heating light indicator will turn on and the appliance is working. As soon as the lights go out, the appliance has

reached the desired cooking temperature. Pre-heating takes about 4 minutes, the device must not be opened during this process.

• At the end of the pre-heating cycle, open the appliance, lightly grease the plate if necessary and put your preparation (grilled meats, croque monsieur, or waffle batter) on the bottom plate.
• Close the appliance and lock it with the lock flap.
• Depending on your recipe, the cooking time will be between 5 to 12min .
• At the end of the cooking cycle, open the appliance and retrieve the preparation with a wooden spatula or a plastic heat resistant tong.
• At the end of your use, unplug the appliance. Open it and let it cool down.

Never use sharp cooking tools, knives, forks while using the cooking plate as it may damage the coating.
During the waffle making, ensure the dough will not overflow the plates.
During the sandwiches making, ensure the cheese will not overflow the plates. Ensure that the thickness of the sandwiches is not over 3mm to avoid damaging the locking mechanism.

Grillade

Before starting the grill, if necessary, lightly grease the cooking surface with an oil-soaked kitchen brush.
To do this, use a small, soft-bristled brush or a piece of kitchen paper lightly moistened with oil. Do not omit to grease the cook plate – it is very important (even with the non-stick coating).

If you use the closed grill plate option, ensure:

• to open the ventilation flap on the top of the unit.
• that the thickness of the meat is no more than 2cm.

For easy grilling, your appliance can open 180^ flat. Be sure to open the opening flap and insert another grease trap underneath.

Grilled sandwiches with 3 cheeses	8 slices of bread 30g of butter 4 slices of emmental 4 squares of camembert 4 squares of brie Cooking time: 8min.	Put the sandwich plates in the appliance, close the appliance and connect the power cable to a wall outlet. Butter the outer sides of the bread. Garnish the 4 slices of bread (non-buttered inner side) with the emmental, camembert and brie cheese. Cover with the other 4 slices. Open the appliance, place the sandwiches in each slot. Close the appliance and gradually tighten the handles to seal the sandwiches.
Surdough bread with cured ham and Savoie Tomme cheese	4 slices of surdough bread 30g of butter 2 slices of cured ham 4 slices of Tomme de Savoie Cooking time: 8min.	Put the grill plates in the appliance, close the appliance and plug the power cable into a wall outlet. Butter the outer sides of the bread. Garnish the 2 slices of bread (non-buttered inner side) with tome cheese, then ham and tome cheese. Cover with the other 2 slices. Open the appliance, place the sandwiches on the plate. Close the appliance and gradually tighten the handles to seal the sandwiches.
Panini with nutella	2 panini bread 80g of Nutella Cooking time: 5min.	Put the grill plates in the appliance, close the appliance and plug the power cable into a wall outlet. Slice in half each panini bread. Spread the slices with the Nutella. Cover with the other 2 slices. Open the appliance, place the sandwiches on the plate. Close the appliance and gradually tighten the handles to seal the sandwiches.
Grilled pork ribs	2 pork ribs Salt Pepper Cooking time: 12min.	Put the grill plates in the appliance, close the appliance and plug the power cable into a wall outlet. Salt and pepper your pork ribs. Open the appliance, place the pork ribs on the plate. Close the appliance and gradually tighten the handles to seal the ribs. Open the ventilation flap.
Omelettes	4 eggs Salt Pepper 30g grated emmental cheese Cooking time: 9min.	Put the sandwich trays in the appliance, close the appliance and connect the power cable to a wall outlet. Beat your eggs, salt, pepper and add the grated emmental cheese. Open the appliance, grease the plates with a brush and pour your preparation into each triangle. Close the appliance and let it cook.
Waffles	160g of flour 4 eggs 200ml of milk 1 sachet of baking powder 50g of melted butter 1 pinch of salt Cooking time: 10min.	Separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast and salt, then add the egg yolks before incorporating the melted butter. Gradually add the milk in the preparation and let it rest for 2 hours. Put the waffle plates in the appliance, close the appliance and plug the power cable into a wall outlet. Beat the egg whites and add them to the rested dough. Use a ladle to pour the waffle batter into the slot of the plate.

IV. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. At the end of your use, switch off your appliance by unplugging your appliance from the power socket.
2. Ensure to always unplug your appliance before any cleaning operation and to always let the appliance fully cool down for at least 1 hour. Never put the motor unit into the dishwashing or under the water.

Cleaning the body unit:

Clean the outer surface with a soft cloth (or sponge) on the surfaces of the appliance.

Cleaning the accessories:

Wash the accessories with a sponge and dishwashing liquid and rinse them. You can put the plates into the dishwasher.

To take out the heavy stains, put all the accessories into hot water with dishwashing liquid and let it rest for 30 min. then use a brush to clean it.

Do not use a hard brush or any others cleaners to avoid scratching or damaging the appliance. Never immerse the appliance.

V. ENVIRONMENT: RECYCLING

The European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the

materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.

Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.

VI. WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover the wear parts of the product, nor the problems or damage resulting from:

1. superficial deterioration due to normal wear of the product;
2. defects or deterioration caused by the product coming into contact with liquids and corrosion caused by rust;
3. any incident, misuse, misuse, alteration, disassembly or unauthorized repair;
4. Any unsuitable maintenance, use not in accordance with product instructions or incorrect voltage connection;
5. any use of accessories not supplied or not approved by the manufacturer.

The warranty will be void if the rating label and / or serial number of the product is removed.
