III. SET UP AND USE

Before first use

Unpacking the appliance and disposing of the packaging elements:

Remove all packing materials that is protecting the appliance and the protective elements inside the appliance compartments.

  • The packing box and the papers sheets are recyclable. They must be thrown in the collection bins provided for this purpose.

  • Wash all accessories with a sponge damped with dishwashing liquid. Rinse thoroughly and dry them with a clean cloth. The plates can be put into a dishwasher.
  • Clean the outer body with a dry clean cloth. Do not immerse the appliance into water. Do not put the appliance into a dishwasher.
  • Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface.
  • Plug your appliance into an earth socket.
  • Before the first use, always heat up the appliance to burn the protective fat and to eliminate smells when you buy new appliances.

Using your appliance

  • Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface.
  • Completely unroll the power cord.
  • Select one of the three cooking plates to be used and follow below steps to insert the plates:

  2. Insert the 2 pins of the plate into the holes located opposing the handle.
  3. Push the plate until the "Click" locking sound.
  4. Do the same for the upper plate.

  5. To change the plate, see below steps:

  6. Press on the 2 unlock push buttons et push towards the handle.

  7. Retrieve the plate by the top.
  8. Push the plate until the "Click" locking sound.
  9. Do the same for the upper plate.

  • If you use the grill plates, ensure to insert the grease tray at the bottom of the appliance.

  • Close the appliance and lock it with the lock flap.
  • Plug in your appliance, the pre-heating light indicator will turn on and the appliance is working. As soon as the lights go out, the appliance has

reached the desired cooking temperature. Pre-heating takes about 4 minutes, the device must not be opened during this process.

  • At the end of the pre-heating cycle, open the appliance, lightly grease the plate if necessary and put your preparation (grilled meats, croque monsieur, or waffle batter) on the bottom plate.
  • Close the appliance and lock it with the lock flap.
  • Depending on your recipe, the cooking time will be between 5 to 12min .
  • At the end of the cooking cycle, open the appliance and retrieve the preparation with a wooden spatula or a plastic heat resistant tong.
  • At the end of your use, unplug the appliance. Open it and let it cool down.

Never use sharp cooking tools, knives, forks while using the cooking plate as it may damage the coating.
During the waffle making, ensure the dough will not overflow the plates.
During the sandwiches making, ensure the cheese will not overflow the plates. Ensure that the thickness of the sandwiches is not over 3mm to avoid damaging the locking mechanism.

Grillade

Before starting the grill, if necessary, lightly grease the cooking surface with an oil-soaked kitchen brush.
