INSTRUCTION TO USE

IMPORTANT!

The beer dispenser allows you to keep a 5L beer keg at a temperature (between 3^ C and 6^ C). It is compatible only with 5-liter stand-alone drums equipped with a manual beer draft handle. Without the manual pull handle sold with the drum, the beer dispenser could not be used.

B. Brewing the beer cask before use

To obtain perfect quality beer at ideal temperature, the drum must be kept cool for several hours. For this, you must put the beer keg to the refrigerator compartment for the time indicated on the drum (Follow the recommendations on the drum).

If you do not have a refrigerator, you can consider cooling the keg directly in the beer dispenser for a minimum of 48 hours. In this case, please note that the beer drawn will not be optimized, for example no foam or reduced

amount of foam.

ATTENTION

Never cool the drum in the freezer. The drum being under pressure, it may explode!

C. Installation of the pull mechanism (4)

The tube attached to the manual pull handle sold with the beer barrel is not suitable for the draw mechanism of your beer dispenser. It is necessary to replace this tube with one of the extension tubes (6) supplied with your appliance or sold separately.

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - Installation of the pull mechanism (4) - 1

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - IMPORTANT! - 1

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - IMPORTANT! - 9

Check that the lid is perfectly installed and that the appliance is

tightly closed. Improper installation of the drum inside the beer dispenser will not allow a tight seal, which would affect the performance of the appliance.

D. Draft beer

Check that the drum is at the correct temperature before use. If this is not the case, a total absence of foam or a large amount of foam could be observed.

When you serve the first glass of a new barrel of beer, this glass will be composed mainly of foam. This is a normal phenomenon that occurs with all types of draft beers.

Preparation of service glasses

Start by wetting the inside of the glasses in which you will serve the beer with cold water. Without this trick, the beer will not foam.

Draft beer

Tilt the previously wet glass at 45^ under the handle in the normal position (1).

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - Draft beer - 1

Operate the beer draft handle by pulling it toward you halfway (45°, position 2) to run the beer. The flow is at its maximum when the handle is fully pulled (90°, position 3).

At the end of filling, raise the glass upright and release the pull handle. It automatically returns to position 1. The beer stops flowing.

E. Change of barrel

  • Unclip the pull mechanism.

Press both buttons at the same time.
Remove the mechanism from the barrel collar and release the buttons.

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - Change of barrel - 1

  • Put in place a new extension tube.
  • Install the new drum by following the steps detailed at the beginning of this chapter.

F. Cooling function

The beer dispenser can cool the beer keg. Before installing the pull mechanism, let it cool in the beer dispenser for about 48 hours.

To ensure an optimal temperature inside the beer dispenser, the cap must be put in place.

CONTINENTAL EDISON CEMB5B3 - Cooling function - 1

When a beer barrel is not used, your beer blender could be used to cool pre-packaged drinks. The beer drafting mechanism must be removed.

The refrigerated compartment of the beer dispenser can hold up to 3 bottles of 30~cm height or 10 cans of drink 33cl.

ATTENTION

Do not pour water or any other liquid inside the appliance.
