This product was developed as exercise equipment to provide you with a full-body workout.

Safety information

Risk of injury!

  • Consult your doctor before you start exercising. Make sure you are healthy enough to exercise.
  • Always remember to warm up before exercising and exercise according to your current fitness level.

Overexertion and overexercising can lead to serious injuries.

Stop exercising immediately and contact a doctor if you experience pain, weakness or fatigue.

  • Always keep the instructions for use with the exercise guidelines readily available.

Dangers due to wear and tear

  • The product may only be used if it is in perfect condition. Check the product for damage or wear before each use. The safety of the product can only be guaranteed if it is regularly inspected for damage and wear and tear. If damaged, it must not be used anymore.
  • Use only genuine spare parts.
  • Protect the product from extreme temperatures, sun and moisture.

Improper storage and use of the product could lead to premature wear and tear, which could result in injury.

Battery warning notices!

  • Remove the batteries when they are flat, or if the product is not in use for an extended period.
  • Do not use different types or brands of battery, or new and used batteries together, or batteries with different capacities as these can leak and cause damage.
  • Ensure the polarity (+/-) is correct when inserting the batteries.
  • Replace all batteries at the same time and dispose of the old batteries as prescribed.
  • Warning! Batteries must not be charged or reactivated by other means, taken apart, thrown into fire or short-circuited.
  • Always keep batteries out of reach of children.
  • Do not use rechargeable batteries!
  • Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Clean the battery and device contacts as needed and before inserting.
  • Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions (e.g. radiators or direct sunlight). Otherwise there is an increased risk of leakage.
  • Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed. Therefore, store batteries in a place inaccessible to small children. Medical attention must be sought immediately if a battery is swallowed.

Danger!

  • Handle damaged or leaking batteries with extreme caution and dispose of them properly as soon as possible. Wear gloves when doing so.
    If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected area with soap and water. If battery acid gets in your eye, rinse it with water and seek medical attention immediately!
  • The connection terminals must not be short-circuited.

Inserting the battery (Fig. B)

Before using the handle with display (1) for the first time, insert the battery (9) provided.

  1. Use a suitable screwdriver to loosen the screw (1a) of the battery compartment cover (1b).

  2. Remove the battery compartment cover and carefully insert a new battery into the battery compartment (1c). The battery must be completely fitted into the battery compartment.
    Note: pay attention to the plus/minus poles on the battery and insert the battery accordingly.

  3. Screw the battery compartment cover back on.

Replacing the batteries

When the battery is no longer functioning properly, replace it as described in the insertion instructions above. Remove the battery from the product before inserting a new one.

Assembly (Fig. C)

Skipping rope

  1. Insert a thin fastening element (7) through one end of the skipping rope (4).
  2. Loosen the fastening screw (1/2d) on the upper end of one handle (1/2).
  3. Insert one end of the skipping rope into a handle (1/2) and adjust the length of the rope by pulling or pushing it.
  4. Tighten the fastening screw so that the length of the skipping rope is now fixed, even when pulled.
  5. Insert the end of the skipping rope into the free hole of the fastening element.
  6. Place a protective cap (8) on the end of the skipping rope.

Skip balls

  1. Insert a thick fastening element (6) through the end of a skip ball (3).
  2. Loosen the fastening screw (1/2d) on the upper end of one handle (1/2).
  3. Insert the end of a skip ball into a handle (1/2) and adjust the length of the skip ball by pushing or pulling it.
  4. Tighten the fastening screw so that the length of the skip ball is now fixed, even when pulled.
  5. Insert the end of the skip ball into the free hole of the fastening element.

Optimal rope length

  • Check whether the skipping rope (4) is the correct length for you. To set the correct length, stand on the skipping rope and pull both ends of the rope (incl. handles) up to your armpits (Fig. E).
  • Adjust the skipping rope if it is the wrong length for you.
  • To shorten the skipping rope, loosen the fastening screws (1d) at the upper end of the handles. Remove the skipping rope from the holder and extend the rope ends that are protruding from the handles. Shorten the rope ends to extend the rope.

Use (Fig. D)

  • Press the 'SET' button (1h) to access the setting mode or to switch between the displays W (1e), L (1f) and T (1I).
  • Press the 'UP' button (1g) to increase your input value. Holding the button down increases the setting speed.
  • Press the 'DN' button (1i) to decrease your input value. Holding the button down increases the setting speed.
  • Press the 'ON' button (1j) to turn the product on or reset it.
  • The product turns off automatically after a short time.

Display

  • User weight for more precise energy usage (1e). Set when activating the product, replacing the battery or resetting the product.
    Number of rotations from 0 to 9999 (1f).
  • Energy usage* from 0 to 999 kilojoules (1k).
  • Workout length from 00:00 to 99:59 minutes (11). Can be set manually up to max. 60:00 minutes.
  • The calculation is based on pre-programmed standard values that only serve as a guide.

Functions

Exercising with predetermined settings

  • Set your desired exercise goals as described in the section 'Use' (Fig. D).

  • You will hear a sound as soon as you have achieved your exercise goals. The workout is complete.

  • Start a new exercise session by resetting the values with the 'ON' button. Enter your exercise goals again.

Exercising without predetermined settings

  • Turn the product on and start exercising. The skipping rope records your values.
  • Start a new exercise session by resetting the values with the 'ON' button.

Using 'Memory' mode

The skipping rope saves your exercise session and you can continue where you left off.

  1. Turn the product on by pressing the 'ON' button.
  2. Press the 'ON' button again and then the 'UP' button.

General training notes

Training process

  • Wear comfortable sport clothing and trainers.
  • Warm up well before each training session and end each training session gradually.
  • Take sufficiently long breaks between the exercises and drink enough.
  • As a beginner, do not train too intensely. Slowly increase your training intensity.
  • Carry out all the exercises steadily, not with sudden movements or too quickly.
  • Be sure to breathe regularly. Breathe out with effort and breathe in on recovery.
  • Ensure a correct body position during the exercises.

Warming up

Take sufficient time before each training session to warm up. The following includes descriptions of some simple exercises for this purpose. Repeat these exercises 2 to 3 times each.

Neck muscles

  1. Turn your head slowly to the left and to the right. Repeat this movement 4 - 5 times.
  2. Circle your head slowly, first in one direction and then in the other.

Arms and shoulders

  1. Clasp your hands behind your back and pull them carefully upwards. If you bend your upper body forwards at the same time all the muscles are warmed up optimally.
  2. Circle both your shoulders forwards at the same time and then change direction after one minute.
  3. Pull your shoulders up to your ears and let your shoulders fall again.
  4. Circle your right and left arms alternately forwards and then after one minute backwards.

Important: Don't forget to continue breathing steadily throughout!

Suggested exercises

Some of many exercises are described below. Note: Please ensure that you move the rope easily from your wrists in small circles. Your jumps should be economical, i.e. you should only jump as high enough that the rope can pass under your feet.

Basic position

  • Hold the handles loosely in your hands close to the rope.
  • Hold your shoulders and your elbows in a relaxed position with your elbows close to your body.
  • Bend your knees slightly and keep your back straight.

Basic jump walking/running (Fig. F) Starting position

  1. Place one foot forwards and hold the article in such a way that the rope is between your front and back feet.
  2. Keep your arms loose and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Pull your back foot upwards and at the same time swing the rope with your wrist backwards over your head.
  3. Lift your front foot up so far that the rope can pass under it.
  4. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets and then place your other foot forwards.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping.

Move the rope in such a way that you can still walk or run. Only move the rope using wrist movements. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Basic jump with both legs (Fig. G)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Keep your arms slightly bent and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards over your head using your wrists and jump up slightly in order to allow the rope to pass under your feet.
  3. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping too high. Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Stride jump (Fig. H)

Starting position

  1. Place one foot forwards and hold the article in such a way that the rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms loose and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Swing the rope over your head from behind quising your wrists.
  3. Pull your foot backwards slightly when you lift it and swing the rope under your feet in the striding position.
  4. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets and then place the other foot forwards.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping too high.

Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Two-legged slalom (Fig. 1)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms at an angle and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards over your head using your wrists and jump up slightly in order to allow the rope to pass under your feet.
  3. When you land place your feet first to one side and on the next jump to the other side so that you are jumping from side to side.
  4. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for three sets.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping too high. Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Single-leg jumps (Fig. J)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms at an angle and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards over your head and jump up on one leg in order to allow the rope to pass under your feet. Pull the other, non-jumping leg up behind you at an angle.
  3. Change the jumping leg on each jump and repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping too high.

Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Crossing the rope (Fig. K)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms crossed over in front of your body and slightly angled. Hold the article handles as shown on the illustration and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards over your head and jump with your feet pulled far back and together or jump up with your legs crossed in order to allow the rope to pass under your feet.
  3. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets. Important: Ensure that your body is tensed during the exercise. Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Double swing (Fig. L)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms at an angle and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards quickly over your head, pull your knees up and jump a long way up in order to allow the rope to pass under your feet twice.
  3. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets.

Important: Ensure that your body is tensed during the exercise and jump high in order to be able to swing the rope twice around your body on one jump. Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Crouched jump (Fig. M)

Starting position

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent and crouch down. The rope is behind your feet.
  2. Hold your arms at an angle and your elbows close to your body.

End position

  1. Tense your arm and stomach muscles.
  2. Simultaneously swing the rope forwards over your head and jump up from the crouched position and pull your knees up at the same time to allow the rope to pass under your feet.
  3. Repeat this exercise 10 - 15 times for 3 sets.

Important: During the exercise ensure that your body is tensed and avoid jumping too high. Swing the rope using wrist movements only. Cushion the landings of your feet on the floor by bending your knees slightly.

Stretching

Take sufficient time after each training session to stretch. The following illustrates some simple exercises for this purpose.

You should carry out the relevant exercises 3 times on each side for 15 - 30 seconds.

Neck muscles

  1. Stand in a relaxed position. Pull your head gently to one side with one hand, first to the left and then to the right. This exercise stretches the sides of your neck.

Arms and shoulders

  1. Stand up straight with your knees slightly bent.
  2. Bend your right arm behind your head until your right hand is between your shoulder blades.
  3. Hold your right elbow with your left hand and pull it backwards.
  4. Change sides and repeat the exercise.

Storage, cleaning

When not in use, always store the product clean and dry at room temperature.

Store the product out of reach of children. Coil the rope when you are not using it. Never hang the rope from a hook or similar object, and do not kink it.

This could permanently deform the rope.

Store all parts of the product in the storage bag provided.

Clean the product regularly, ideally after each use. Clean the skipping rope (4) with water and a mild detergent only, and wipe dry afterwards with a cloth.

IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.

Disposal

In the interest of protecting the environment, do not throw your product into the household waste once you are finished with it, but rather take it to a specialty facility. Find out about collection sites in hours of operation from your locality.

Defective or used batteries must be recycled pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC and changes to it. Return batteries and/or the product via the collecting sites provided. Packaging materials, such as plastic bags, must be kept away from children. Keep the packaging materials out of reach of children.

Environmental damage caused by improper disposal of batteries! Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy

metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium,

Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection site.

DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.

Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.

Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
