USER MANUAL VC119 Bimar
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and instruct other persons using it, too, when necessary. Keep booklet Handy for further use. If when reading this instructions manual certain parts should remain difficult to understand, or if there is any confusion, contact the company indicated on the last page before using the product. This symbol highlights instructions and precautions for safe use. This symbol show: the appliance is class II equipment, for which the power cord plug is without of the pole to the ground. GENERAL NOTICES
- This appliance is only intended for use in the home for room ventilation and is fitted with an integral speaker with Bluetooth connection, and in the manner described in this manual: do not use it for any other purpose. Any other use is to be considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for eventual damage caused by inappropriate, improper or irresponsible use and/or for repairs made to the product by unauthorised personnel.
- This is a radio appliance that intentionally emits and/or receives radio waves for radiocommunication and/or radiodetermination purposes. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:11/40
- staff kitchen in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments - bed and breakfast type environments
- Do not insert any tool, or your fingers, into the grille protecting the blades.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- The appliance must be kept out of children’s reach.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are properly supervised or if they have received instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and have understood the related dangers. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.12/40
- Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fire, electric shocks and physical injury.
- Always unplug the appliance before you assemble, disassemble or clean the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if it is not operating correctly or seems damaged; if in doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.
- Make sure that the appliance is working correctly: if not, turn the appliance off and have it checked by professionally qualified personnel.
- Do not move the appliance when it is operating.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.
- Do not leave the device exposed to the weather (sun, rain, etc.).
- Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.
- Do not pull on the cord to move the appliance.
- Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the socket.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fire, since a fire risk exists if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.13/40
- If the appliance breaks down or there is a malfunction, switch off the appliance and have it checked by qualified personnel; repairs carried out by unauthorised personnel may be dangerous and invalidate the guarantee. INSTALLATION
- After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the heater; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger.
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage values shown on the data plate correspond to those of the electricity supply network. In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the heater, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the heater. In general, the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum of the appliance.
- The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency.
- Before each use, checkthattheequipmentis in goodcondition, and thatthepower cable isnotdamaged: if in doubtconsult a qualifiedprofessional.
- Place theappliancefarfrom - Heat sources (e.g.flames, gas stoves etc.) - container of liquids (e.g.sinks etc) to avoid any spray or the appliance falling into it (minimum distance of 2 meters) - fabrics (curtains, etc.) or unstable materials that could obstruct the air intake grille; make sure that the front is free of unstable materials (dust, etc.).
- The surface on which the appliance is placed must be stable, level (otherwise the unit may fall over) and smooth. Do not place the fan on shelves. Do not hang the unit on the wall.
- In the event of a breakdown or poor operation, turn the appliance off and have it checked by professionally qualified personnel; repairs carried out by unauthorised personnel may be dangerous and invalidate the guarantee.14/40
Attention: always unplug the appliance before you assemble to the fan. To assemble it, refer to figures: first place the front shell (D) on the body, plug the power cord through the guidance of the rear shell (F), couple the rear shell to the front (align the four holes “E”) secure the 4 screws (B) provided.
USE Warning : The fan can only be used if properly assembled in good condition. The fan functions are operated with both the keypad of the control panel and the remote control which must be pointed at the front (maximum distance of about 4m) towards the control panel. To replace the “CR2025" battery, move the tab to the centre (using a small screwdriver) and simultaneously remove the battery holder. Replace the battery (while checking correct polarity), and close the battery holder. Remove the battery for
ng periods of inactivity of the remote control.
The fan has the following setting and control elements: - Stand-by-ON button “ " (1): To turn the fan on or turn it off in standby mode
Ventilation: the three speeds are selected by pressing the “ " (2) button: the symbol corresponding to the selected speed will light up: ( =min; = med; =max).
Ionising function “ ”: this produces a flow of negative ions which neutralise the positive ions in the air, this fuction is On then is selected the button “ ” (3).15/40
Timer “ ”: sets the operating time at which the unit shuts down. Press the "TIMER" (5), button repeatedly: each press changes the time in 1 hour intervals (from 1 hour to 12 hours), and the selected duration will be shown on the control panel. To deactivate the timer, press the button until the timer turns off.
Bluetooth speaker : press the button to activate the function and the corresponding symbol and the LED light loop with alternating colours illuminate on the display. The device can be connected to the fan up to a distance of 5/6 metres; the volume can only be adjusted via the device. To deactivate the function press the button again until the corresponding symbol goes out.
Swing (right-left) “ ”: press the (4) button, turn it on or turn it off. - The display shows the temperature and all functions (except the swing function) Bluetooth speaker First Installation/Setup Place the appliance near to the device and press the “ “ button to activate the function; a beep will be heard. Activate the Bluetooth connection on the device (smartphone, tablet, PC, etc.) - symbol “ “. Perform the search for model “TH-817EM” and then confirm the pairing; a beep will be heard. Press the paired model to customise, e.g. device Name, etc. The fan can only be paired with device; to unpair the device, click "Unpair" and confirm
The fan and the speaker function can operate together or separately. To operate the fan, plug it into a socket: the “ " symbol will light up and you will hear a "beep" (indicating the standby status); press the “ " button to activate the fan and select the desired functions. To deactivate the unit, press the " " button: the symbol “ " will remain lit. To turn off the appliance, unplug it from the socket.16/40
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention: before normal cleaning, remove the plug from the socket.
- Clean the body with soft, slightly damp, cloth; do not use abrasive or corrosive products.
- Do not immerse any part of the fan in water or other liquid: if this should happen, do not put your hand in the liquid, but first remove the plug from the socket. Carefully dry the appliance and make sure that all the electrical parts are dry: in the case of doubt, ask for professionally qualified help.
- It is essential that the motor's air holes be kept from dust and lint.
- If the fan will not be used for long periods, it must be protected from dust and humidity; we recommend storing it in its original packaging.
- Should you decide not to use the appliance any more, we recommend making it inoperative by cutting the power cord (after making sure you have disconnected the plug from the socket) and make dangerous parts harmless if children are allowed to play with them.
- The battery of the remote control must be disposed of in the appropriate containers; dispose of them in compliance with current law.
- Do not dispose of non-biodegradable products in the environment but dispose of them in accordance with current law. At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.17/40
