Important Safety Instruction

Please follow the instructions below carefully as a security measure when using the Kettle:

1. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

3. This Appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by Children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

4. Close supervision is required when the device is used near children or persons with disabilities.

5. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
6. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer or separate remote control system.

1. Caution - Hot Surface.

Do not place your face or other body parts above the teapot when opening the teapot to avoid any risk of steam burns.

2. Use only clean and cold water.
3. WARNING – Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle.
4. WARNING - Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.

5. The tea kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.

7. Lift the tea pot vertically to remove it from its base.
8. Unplug the device during the periods of unused.

Warning:

• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
• Use only cold water when filling the device.
• The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
• Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
• Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
• The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
• Kettle body used must match with the kettle base.
• Do not open the lid when the steam comes out from the teapot.

Operation Guidelines

1. button function:

1: “ 40^ ”: The temperature setting is 40^ after pressing this button.
2: “ 70^ ”: The temperature setting is 70^ after pressing this button.
3: “ 85^ ”: The temperature setting is 85^ after pressing this button.
4: “ 100^ ”: the water will be heated up to boiling after pressing this button.
5: “MARCHE/ARRET”: Start/shutdown the unit.
6: " MAINTIEN AU CHAUD": Start or stop the KEEP warm.

2. operation description :

Preparation: place the kettle on the flat and smooth table and plug in accordingly. Fill the kettle with enough water (the water cannot less than MIN or higher than MAX.)

To operate the kettle: press one of the temperature buttons of your choice according to the type of tea chosen, then press the "MARCHE/ARRET" button. The unit will start heating with the preset temperature. The unit will sound for 3 times after reaching the preset temperature and will automatically go into standby mode.

Press the "MARCHE/ARRET" under standby mode, the unit will start working with memory setting. If the unit is replugged in after it is unplugged, it will enter into standby mode, then if press the "MARCHE/ARRET" at this time, the acquiescent temperature setting is 100^ .

If press the "MAINTIEN AU CHAUD" button, once the preset temperature is reached, the unit will automatically go into keep warm mode.

When the temperature setting is 100^ , the kettle cannot keep warm under 100^ , the "MAINTIEN AU CHAUD" button cannot be activated.

When the unit is working: You can press the rest of buttons to set temperature; You can press "MAINTIEN AU CHAUD" button to start or stop the keep warm function; You can press "MARCHE/ARRET" button to start or turn off the unit.

If the keep warm function is set, and it will keep warm for 2 hours. After that, the unit will stop working and enter into the standby mode automatically.

The light around the base will turn on during heating, and it will turn off after heating.

3. How to add the tea

Lift the lid and the tea filter from the kettle. Turn the tea filter clockwise (see below step 1), put the tea inside the filter (see below step 2), then rotate the tea filter counterclockwise to lock it into the filter lid (see below step 3).

During use, you can move the tea filter up and down by pulling/pushing the rod.

4. Boil-dry protection with auto safety shut off

If there is no water in kettle, the unit will enter self-protection mode.

5. Product alarm

• A: If press the buttons but no response, and the indicator lights are turned off, it means the glass kettle has a bad contact with the base. If you place the kettle correctly on the base, everything will be normal again after plugging in.

• B: If buzzer has continuous beeps alarm sounds and also with all indicator lights flicker, which shows dry heat happens and inner kettle temperature is very high. At this moment, immediate measures should be taken, such as disconnecting power source and pouring cold water into kettle for cooling down.

• C: When the indicator lights flicker all the time, buzzer doesn't give an alarm and all buttons pressed useless, it means the temperature sensor has a problem. Please disconnect the power supply and plug in again. If such problem still exists, please stop to use it and send it for after-sales repairing.

6. WARNING Electric Shock Hazard.

Do not immerse kettle, power base, or plug in water or any other liquid.

With kettle unplugged, empty any remaining water and rinse. Allow kettle to cool. The mesh filter may be removed by pulling up on the filter tab which is visible through the kettle opening.

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Always disconnect the plug from the outlet before cleaning the kettle and the base. Wipe the kettle and the base with a moist cloth and a drop of washing-up liquid. Never use an aggressive scouring or steel wool.
2. Descale the kettle regularly, possibly once a week, it depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Scale diminishes significantly the heating performance of the kettle.
3. To descale fill half the kettle with water and the other half with vinegar. Bring to the boil and then leave it to stand overnight. Next day pour away and fill the kettle with fresh water and bring to the boil again. This water must also be poured away.
4. Normal commercial descales for kettles can also be used. Follow the instructions for the respective descale.
