We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concern-

ing safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

This product is only intended for private use as decorative lighting, indoors and outdoors, and is not intended for commercial purposes.

ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never

leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. It poses a danger of suffocation. Keep children away from the product.

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries are not intended for

children. Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a danger that these will be swallowed by children or pets. If they are accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

This device may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience and/or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.

- Do not use the product if you notice any signs of damage.

WARNING! FIRE HAZARD! Do not short-circuit the batteries.

The battery may overheat, ignite or explode.

WARNING! EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never throw batteries into

fire or water. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries! The batteries may explode.

Leaking or damaged batteries may result in chemical burns

upon contact with the skin; always wear suitable safety gloves.

■ Remove drained batteries from the device. Very old or used batteries may leak. The chemicals inside may damage the product.

■ Remove the batteries from the device if it will not be used for a prolonged period.

■ Always use batteries of the same type (see section "Technical data").

■ Regularly check the batteries for signs of leaking.

■ Never expose the product to high temperatures or moisture as this could damage the product.

- Do not exert mechanical loads on the product!

In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the light, please contact an electrician.

■ Do not use old and new batteries together.

CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! Do not operate the product

whilst it is still in the packaging.

■ Store the product in the original packaging after use to prevent accidental damage.
This product does not contain any parts that can be serviced by the user. The light bulbs cannot be replaced.
■ Never electrically connect the product to other string lights.
■ Never connect the product directly to a 230 V supply.
The battery compartment is protected against foreign matter and spray water according to IP44. Never allow the battery compartment to be exposed to rain or direct jets of water.

Set-up

- Installing LED light sticks in the ground

WEAR SAFETY GLOVES! Wear safety gloves when installing the LED light sticks 1. Do not install the LED light sticks 1 if the ground is frozen.

☐ Push the ground stakes 4 far enough into the ground (lawn, flower bed) so that they are firm in the ground.

■ Make sure they are firmly positioned. Do not use excessive force, e.g. strike with a hammer, when you are pushing the ground stakes 4 into the ground. This will damage the product.

- Inserting / replacing batteries

☐ Open the battery compartment ☐ 2 by loosening the latches and open it (see Fig. B).
☐ Insert batteries or replace the old batteries with new ones. Please note the polarity when inserting the battery. This is indicated in the battery compartment 2. Only use batteries of the recommended type (see "Technical data").
☐ Close the battery compartment ☐ 2 by snapping it shut and snap in the latches again.

- Switching the LED light sticks on / off

☐ Press the TIMER/ON/OFF button 3 to change the lighting modes as follows:

TIMER MODE = press once

☐ Press the TIMER/ON/OFF button 3 once. The LEDs will begin to light up. The product will stay on for 6 hours and will then automatically switch off for 18 hours in timer mode. This pattern will repeat automatically.

ON = press a second time

☐ Press the TIMER/ON/OFF button 3 a second time. The LEDs will now light up continuously.

OFF = press once more

☐ Press the TIMER/ON/OFF button 3 once more to switch off the LED light sticks 1.

- Cleaning and care

- Do not clean the light with water or other liquids.

□ Clean the light regularly with a dry, fluff-free cloth.

●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries / rechargeable batteries!

Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

- Warranty and service

Note: This product includes a 36 month warranty from the date of purchase. The product has been produced to the highest standards and thoroughly checked before dispatch. However, if defects in manufacturing or material arise during the warranty period, please contact your retailer immediately.

The warranty does not cover damages due to improper handling, failure to comply with the operating instructions, or manipulation by unauthorised persons. Most malfunctions are caused by incorrect operation. Therefore please first refer to the operating instructions if a malfunction occurs.

Please contact the Uni-Elektra GmbH service address with any questions. The product can only be returned to us after contacting us. Postage due shipments will not be accepted. Warranty services do not extend or restart the warranty period of 36 months.
