What is the maximum slice thickness?

The slice thickness can be adjusted from 0 to 15 mm using the adjustment knob on the appliance.

How to clean the knife?

The knife is very sharp. To clean it, first unplug the appliance, unlock the knife holder, carefully remove the knife and wash it by hand. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

Can I cut frozen food?

No, the appliance is designed only for cutting non-frozen food. Never cut frozen food.

How long can I use the appliance continuously?

The appliance must not run for more than 5 minutes at a time. Let it cool down between uses.

How to assemble the slicer?

Push the carriage into the carriage guide, close the carriage lock so it does not slide, then attach the food holder to the carriage.

What if the blade no longer cuts properly?

Check that the blade is clean and properly secured. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service. The blade should not be sharpened by the user.

Are the parts dishwasher safe?

The carriage and food holder can be washed in the dishwasher. The housing and knife must be cleaned by hand.

How to start the appliance safely?

Press simultaneously the rear safety switch and the power button on top. The power button must be held down during operation.

Can I use an extension cord?

Yes, an extension cord can be used as long as it has a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm² and the appliance is not used with a power strip exceeding 3680 W.

How to avoid odors between different foods?

Cut a slice of bread between two different foods (e.g. cheese and sausage) to avoid transfer of odor and taste.

This appliance is for private and indoor use only and must not be used commercially. Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too. Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual. Remove all packaging and sticker. Wash up all parts carefully (see cleaning).

Safety information

The blade is very sharp! Remove the blade only with its handle.

• Never use the slicer without the carriage and food holder.

• The device is suitable for cutting food only. Do not cut frozen food.

• Turn the slice thickness adjustment back to "0" after use.

• Connect and operate the appliance in accordance with the specifications shown on the rating label.

• Do not use if the plug cord is damaged. Verify before every use.

• Do not plug with wet hands.

• Connect the power plug to a properly installed and easily accessible socket only.

• To unplug the power plug, always pull the plug – not the cable.

Plug off the appliance after each use or in case of failure.

• Do not pull at the cord. Don't pull it over edges and don't bend it too much.

• Keep the cord away from hot parts.

The appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, provided that are supervised or have been provided with instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers.

Children must not use the packaging as a toy. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised.

• Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance or packaging material (e.g. Plastic Bags).

• The appliance must not be operated using a timer or a separate remote system!

• To prevent injury, repairs such as replacing a damaged cord, should only be carried out by a customer service. Only original spare parts have to be used.

• Only use the device as described in this manual.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

o staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and others working environments
o by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
o bed and breakfast type environments.

• Before initial use: clean all parts carefully and leave to dry.
• If an extension cable is used, it has to have a cross-section of 1.5mm^2 . A cable drum must always be unwound.
• If a GS-tested 16 A multi-pin extension is used, it may not be charged with more than 3680 watts due to fire hazard.

• Make sure that children do not tease the cable or that a trip hazard occurs.

• The device must always be disconnected from the power supply if it is not supervised and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

• Hygiene: Please always clean the device to avoid bacteria and mould formation.

Cleaning

Attention! Pull the plug before cleaning.

• Never immerse the unit into water.

• Food residues must be removed for reasons of hygiene.

• Loosen the blade holder lock with a twisting movement and carefully remove the blade.
• Carefully clean the knife by hand and let it dry.

Attention! Blade is sharp!

• Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
• The carriage and the food holder can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
• Carefully reassemble the device after cleaning.

Workplace

Important:

Never place this device on or next to hot surfaces (e.g. hot stoves). Only use it on a

even, stable and a heat resisting surface. It is important that no inflammable items are

near to the device. Do not place the device on the edge of the table so that it cannot be touched by children or fall down when touched.

Assembling

• Slide the carriage 4) onto the carriage lead 1).
• Now close the lock on the carriage 5). As the carriage can no longer slip out of the lead.
• Then hang the food holder 6) on the carriage.

Usage

• Do not connect the device during assembly!
  Only use the device when it is completely assembled!
  Take the cable from the cable storage and connect the device.

• Simultaneously press the safety switch (rear) and the power button (top) to start the device. The power button must always be held down.

• The slice thickness can be selected between 0 and 15 mm with the adjusting wheel 3).
• Press the food against the moving blade without applying too much pressure on the carriage. Always use the hand protection and food holder.
  Tip: if you want to cut different foods one after the other (e.g. cheese, sausage), it is advisable to cut a slice of bread in between to prevent odour and taste transfer.

Protecting the motor:

• Do not operate the device without food
• Do not let the device run for more than max. 5 minutes.
• Let the device cool down between the work steps.
