SPECIFIC Use the device only for its intended purpose Always place the appliance on a stable, flat and horizontal surface when using it. When inserting batteries, make sure your hands and the device are dry. Microwaves and cell phones can cause interference and alter weight results. If the microwave is operating, use the kitchen scale at a safe distance of at least 1.5 meters from the microwave, or turn the microwave off. If your mobile phone is on, keep it at a safe distance of at least 2 meters from the scale, or turn it off. 1. Place the weight on a flat, sturdy surface. Avoid carpets or soft surfaces.
