2. Operating safetyCAUTION! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury or death. The term “appliance” or “product” in the warnings and instructions refers to the ELECTRIC HEATER. 2.1. Electrical safety a) Do not touch the appliance with wet or moist hands. b) Do not use the power cord in any unintended way. Never use it to carry the appliance or to unplug it from the mains outlet. Keep the power cord away from sources of heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. c) Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged or shows evidence of wear. Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified electrician or the manufacturer’s technical service. d) CAUTION – DANGER TO LIFE! When cleaning or using the appliance, never immerse it in water or other liquids. e) Do not use the appliance in highly humid rooms or in a direct vicinity to tanks/reservoirs/vessels with water! f) The appliance must not get wet. Risk of electric shock! 2.2. Workplace safety a) Do not use the appliance in areas of explosion hazard, for example in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. The appliance generates sparks which can ignite dust or vapours. b) In the event of damage or malfunction of the appliance, turn it off immediately and report the incident to authorised personnel. c) Only the manufacturer’s technical service may repair the product. Do not attempt to repair the product on your own! d) In the event of ignition or a fire, use dry powder or CO2 extinguishers only to suppress the fire of the appliance if live with electrical voltage. e) No children or unauthorised individuals shall be allowed at the workplace. (Lack of attention may result in loss of control over the appliance). f) Use the appliance in a well-ventilated room. g) Keep this manual for future reference. If the appliance is to be handed over to a third party, hand it over with this user manual. h) Keep packaging components and small installation parts out of the reach of children. i) Keep the appliance away from children and animals.j) When operating this appliance together with other appliances, follow each of their user manuals. Remember! Keep children and other bystanders safe while operating this appliance. 2.3. Personal safety a) The appliance is not intended to be used by individuals (including children) with reduced mental, sensory or intellectual capacity or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by an individual responsible for their safety or have been given instructions by the responsible individual on how to operate the appliance. b) Be careful and use common sense when operating the appliance. Even a brief moment of distraction during operation may lead to serious injury. c) To prevent accidental operation, make sure the power switch is OFF before connecting the appliance to mains power. d) Do not overestimate your capabilities. Maintain proper body balance at all times during operation. This allows for better control of the appliance in unexpected situations. e) The appliance is not a toy. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with it. 2.4. Safe use of the appliance a) Do not overload the appliance. Use tools that are suitable for the application. A correctly selected appliance ensures better and safer performance of the work it is intended for. b) Do not use the appliance if the power switch does not function properly (does not switch on or off). Appliances which cannot be controlled with their power switches are dangerous, shall not be operated and must be repaired. c) Before adjustment, replacement of any accessories or storing the appliance, unplug it from the mains. This safety precaution reduces the risk of accidental operation. d) Keep the appliance in good working order. Before each use, check for generally evident damage and damage to any of the moving parts (inspect for cracks in parts and components or any other condition that may affect the safe operation of the appliance). If damaged, have the appliance repaired before use. e) Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. f) To ensure the designed operational integrity of the appliance, do not remove the factory-installed covers or loosen any bolts. g) Clean the appliance regularly to prevent permanent deposits of dirt.h) The appliance is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be performed by children without adult supervision.
i) Do not start the appliance when it is empty.
j) Never attempt to tamper with the appliance to change its parameters or structure. k) Keep the appliance away from sources of fire and heat. l) Do not cover the vents of the appliance! m) The heating elements/heaters of the appliance remain hot for some time after turning off the appliance. Be careful to avoid burns! n) Keep the appliance away from all flammable materials! o) CAUTION! During operation, some parts of the appliance can become very hot – danger of burns! Do not touch these parts with bare hands! p) Do not cover the appliance in any way or with anything (like blankets or clothing) when in operation or hot. q) Do not install heating appliances directly below a mains outlet.
CAUTION! Although the appliance has been designed to be safe and has been provided with adequate safeguards, and despite the use of additional safety measures, there is still a low, residual risk of accident or injury during its operation. Caution and common sense are advised when using the appliance.
This appliance is intended for holding food warm before serving. The user is responsible for any damage caused by non-intended use. 3.1. Appliance overviewRC-SHSFL08

The maximum ambient temperature and relative humidity limits not to be exceeded are +40°C and 85% RH, respectively. Position the appliance where good air circulation is ensured. Maintain a minimum clearance of 25 cm from all sides of the appliance. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces. Always operate the appliance out of the reach of children and individuals with reduced mental, sensory and intellectual capacities. Position the appliance where the power switch can be reached at any time. Make sure that the mains power ratings match the data on the rating plate!
INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
1. Remove the appliance from the box.
2. Remove the tape and protective packaging from all surfaces of the appliance.
3. Suspend the IR heater lamp on a fixture installed (not included) on the ceiling,
e.g. a hook in a wall plug.
4. Suspend the IR heater lamp on the hook or a ceiling suspension fixture. Adjust
the suspension cable length as needed to provide a sufficient, safe clearance underneath the appliance.
5. Wire the lamp cable to the mains:
- Neutral (N) is blue;
- Earth (GND) is yellow/green. Caution: The appliance must be wired to earth. Caution: Have a qualified electrician connect the wiring.
6. Move the guard (1) up to touch the ceiling.
3.3. Operating the appliance
1. Turn on the IR heater lamp by operating the power (ON/OFF) switch (3) located
2. For the best results, place the (heat-resistant) container with the food to be held
in heat directly below the IR heater lamp.
3. Once the food reaches the required temperature, operate the power switch (3)
to turn off the lamp.
4. If the lamp will not be used for a long time, disconnect it from the mains.
Caution: This appliance holds heat only and does not continue any cooking/thermal processing. Replacing the light bulb:
- To replace the light bulb (5), operate the power switch to OFF wait until the bulb and the shade cool down completely.• The light bulb holder size is E27. Unscrew the light bulb from the lamp to remove and replace it with a new one. The shade (4) is intended for clear, white-light bulbs and IR bulbs with a maximum power rating of 250 W. 3.4. Cleaning and maintenance a) Before cleaning, adjustment or replacement of accessories, and when the appliance is not in use, unplug it from the mains and wait until it cools down completely. b) Use non-corrosive agents for cleaning the surfaces only. c) After each cleaning, dry all components well before the appliance is used again. d) Do not spray the appliance with a stream of water and do not immerse it in water. e) Regularly inspect the appliance for technical defects and damage. f) Clean with a soft sponge and mild soap. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry. g) Do not clean with any sharp and/or metal implements (e.g. a wire brush or a metal scraper) as these may damage the surface of the appliance.
DISPOSAL OF WASTE APPLIANCES
At the end of its service life, this product must not be disposed of with mixed household waste; return it to a collector/recycler of waste electrical and electronic equipment. This is shown by the symbol placed on the product, the user manual or the packaging. The materials used in the appliance can be reused according to their classification identifications. By reuse, recycling or applying other forms of use of waste appliances, you make a significant contribution to the protection of our environment. Local administration will provide you with the information about the nearest disposal locations for the appliance. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Possible cause Action The appliance does not work. The appliance is not turned on. Make sure that the appliance is properly connected to the mains and turned on. Power cord/cable failure. Have an electrician repair the failure. The light bulb is not screwed all the way in or has failed. Screw it all the way in or replace.Mains power lost.
