Frequently Asked Questions - N3551K OPTOMA

How to connect my computer to the Optoma N3551K monitor?
You can connect your computer via an HDMI cable to one of the HDMI ports (HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 for the 55" model). The USB Type-C port also supports display (DisplayPort 1.2) and provides 65W power to charge your computer.
How to use the Creative Cast wireless screen sharing feature?
Make sure the monitor and your mobile device/computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. On the monitor, open the Creative Cast app. On your device, scan the displayed QR code or enter the IP address shown. Follow the on-screen instructions to start broadcasting (mirroring, photos, documents, etc.).
The monitor turns off automatically after a few minutes, what should I do?
Check the auto-off settings in the OSD menu (Shortcut > Settings > Power > Auto Off). If the function is enabled, disable it or increase the delay. Also ensure that the power cable is properly connected and the power switch is set to ON.
How to mount the monitor on the wall?
Use a VESA wall mount kit approved by Optoma (ref. WIB6560A for 55"). The VESA dimensions are 400x200 mm with M6x12L screws. The wall mount must be fixed on a concrete wall. Follow the steps in the installation manual (pages 15-17). If you do not have a concrete wall, use the optional stand base (ST01).
How to adjust color temperature and brightness?
Press the Menu button on the remote control or control panel. In the OSD menu, select Image > Display Mode (choose Presentation, Bright, Cinema, HDR, or Custom). In Custom mode, you can adjust brightness, contrast, color, and color temperature (Standard, Warm, or Cool). Press Enter to confirm.
How to activate the screen lock function?
Go to Android Settings > Security > Screen lock password. Set a 4-digit code. Once activated, the screen will lock after standby or on demand. To disable, go to the same menu and select 'Clear screen lock password'.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
Check that the batteries are correctly inserted (2 AAA batteries) and not depleted. Make sure there is no obstruction between the remote and the monitor's IR sensor (maximum range 8 meters, angle ±30°). Avoid direct sunlight or fluorescent lamps near the sensor.
How to update the monitor software?
Via Internet (OTA): go to Settings > System > Update > OTA Software Update. Enable 'Check for update on power on' and 'Auto download'. If an update is available, follow the instructions. Via USB: download the update file to a USB key formatted in FAT32, plug it into the monitor, then go to Settings > System > Update > USB Software Upgrade.
What image modes are available and which one to choose for a presentation?
The available image modes are: Presentation, Bright, Cinema, HDR, and Custom. For a meeting room presentation, Presentation mode is recommended as it offers a good balance between brightness and readability. You can also manually adjust settings in Custom mode.
How to configure the tiling (video wall) function?
Go to OSD menu > Settings > Device > Tiling. Enable Tiling, then configure the number of monitors (H x V) and the position of your screen in the video wall. Frame compensation (Frame Comp) can be enabled to correct gaps between screens. Note: the tiling function does not work with Android and HDMI 3 sources.
