How to install the Pentatech MA03 motion detector?
Choose a location near a power outlet, at a height of about 2 m with a 15° angle to the wall. Attach the wall mount with two screws, then slide the device onto it. Ensure that movements are perpendicular to the PIR sensor for better detection.
What to do if the alarm triggers without reason?
Check that the device is not installed near a radiator, fan, or heat source (animals, cars). If the problem persists, replace the batteries. Old batteries can cause false alarms.
How to replace the detector batteries?
Slide the battery cover down on the back of the device. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries respecting polarity (+/-), then replace the cover.
How to replace the remote control battery?
Unscrew the screw on the back of the remote control and remove the cover. Replace the old battery with a 23A (12 V) battery respecting polarity, then close.
What is the range of the remote control?
The infrared remote control has a range of about 6 meters within a 30° angle facing the detector.
How to deactivate the alarm?
Press the button on the remote control during the detection phase (first 15 seconds). If the alarm is already triggered, press the remote to stop it. The alarm also stops automatically after about 45 seconds.
What to do if the siren does not sound during intrusion?
Check that the batteries are in good condition and that the power adapter is plugged in. Make sure the device is in active mode (green LED on then red flashing). If the problem persists, replace the batteries.
Can I use the Pentatech MA03 outdoors?
No, this detector is designed for indoor use only in non-humid rooms. Moisture or frost can damage the device and cause risk of electric shock.
How to test the detector?
Make sure the device is turned off. Move within the desired detection area: the red LED behind the sensor lens briefly lights up when motion is detected, indicating proper functioning.
What to do if the remote control is lost?
