Frequently Asked Questions - C920e LOGITECH

How to install the Logitech C920e webcam?
Simply plug the USB-A cable into an available USB port on your computer. No additional driver is required for common operating systems. The webcam is recognized automatically.
The webcam indicator light does not turn on, what to do?
Check that the webcam is properly plugged into a working USB port. The light only turns on when an application uses the camera (e.g., Zoom, Skype). If the light remains off even during use, try another USB port.
How to use the privacy shutter?
Attach the removable shutter over the webcam lens. You can manually adjust it to open or close the shutter as needed. It protects your privacy by blocking the camera.
Can the webcam be mounted on a tripod?
Yes, the C920e has a standard 1/4-inch thread under the mounting clip. Screw it onto any compatible tripod. Note that the tripod is not included.
What is the video quality of the Logitech C920e?
It offers Full HD 1080p resolution with autofocus, ideal for video conferencing, streaming, or recordings.
Can I use the webcam with a USB-C adapter?
Yes, if your computer only has USB-C ports, use a USB-A to USB-C adapter. The webcam will work normally.
How to clean the webcam?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the lens and body. Avoid solvents or abrasive products that could damage the surfaces.
Is the webcam compatible with Linux?
Yes, the Logitech C920e is natively recognized on most Linux distributions without additional driver (standard UVC driver).
What to do if the image is blurry?
Check that autofocus is enabled in your application settings. Also ensure the lens is clean and the webcam is placed at an appropriate distance (about 50 cm to 1 m).
Does the webcam work with applications like Teams, Zoom, or Skype?
Yes, the C920e is compatible with all common video conferencing applications. Simply select it as the video source in the application settings.
