The warm-up The purpose of a warm-up is to prepare the body for training and to reduce the risk of injury. Warm up your body for two to five minutes before starting a cardio or strength training session. Do exercises that increase the heart rate and warm up the working muscles. Examples of this type of activity are running, jogging, jumping jacks, skipping and running in place. Stretching Stretching while the muscles are warm is very important after a good warm-up and cool-down. It reduces the risk of injury. Stretching exercises should be held for 15-30 seconds. Here are some examples of stretching exercises:

  • Toe touch (Fig. C-1)
  • Inner thight stretch (Fig. C-2)
  • Side stretch (Fig. B-5) Cooling down The purpose of the cool-down is to return the body to its (near) normal resting position at the end of the workout. A good cool-down slowly reduces your heart rate and promotes recovery. Heart Rate Control (HRC)
  • Press button until "HRC" appears under the programme. Select the HRC programme by pressing .
  • Select the desired heart rate by pressing under SPEED.
  • Press to start the programme. Speed and incline During this programme, the speed and angle of incline change according to your heart rate. The speed and angle of incline increase as soon as the desired heart rate is not yet reached. If this heart rate is exceeded, the speed and incline angle will decrease.

This treadmill has 36 preset programs (P1 to P36). The first 24 preset programs (P1 to P24) relate to speed. The other 12 preset programs (P25 to P36) are a combination of speed and incline (fatburn, hill and fittest). Each preset program has a maximum speed level which is displayed when a desired workout is selected. The speed that the program in question will reach is displayed in the speed window. Each program has different speed changes. Selecting a program

  • Make sure the treadmill is stationary and press to activate the reset state.
  • Press oto select the required program (P1 to P36) and press to start the program. The speed window displays the preset speed of the selected program. Each program lasts 10 minutes. After each minute, the program and speed can be adjusted manually or automatically. 3 seconds before the end of the program, a signal sounds three times, after which the treadmill stops. NOTE! All programmes are listed at the beginning of this manual.

A successful training program includes a warm-up, the actual training and a cool-down. Perform the complete training program at least twice, but preferably three times a week and keep a rest day between training sessions. After a few months, the intensity of the training can be increased, for example to four or five times a week.NEDERLANDS
