• Place the appliance only on a level, dry surface

• Do not keep your hands, clothes or other objects over the opening in the lid while the appliance is working and do not cover the opening

• Do not use the appliance near ammable or explosive materials and objects

• Never place the appliance on hot surfaces

• Only boil eggs in the appliance

• Boil the eggs only if there is water in the bowl

• The mains cable should not hang freely in the air or come into contact with hot surfaces/objects

• Disconnect the mains plug from the sock- et if the appliance is not being used

• Hot steam is generated when the appli- ance is being used. Avoid contact with the14 English steam when liing the lid or when steam comes out of the opening in the lid

• Please make sure that escaping steam or moisture will not be condensing on sensi- ve objects or surfaces

• The scales on the measuring cup are merely indicave. Adjust the amount of water as needed if the desired degree of hardness is not obtained

• Do not immerse the appliance in liquids

• Do not use any liquids to clean the outer surfaces of the appliance. Use a dry, so cloth for this purpose

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they15English are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

1. Scope of delivery

Cauon: The egg piercer is located at the boom of the measuring cup. Therefore be careful when handling the measuring cup to avoid injuries.18 English Remove all of the packaging material. The egg cooker should be cleaned before using it for the rst me to remove any producon residues. When cleaning, please refer to the informaon provided under secon 6 of this operang manual. Then place the egg cooker on a level, dry surface and connect the appliance to a properly installed and earthed socket of your residence. The egg cooker is now ready for use. Please refer to the following secons for details on the cooking process and the keep-warm funcons.

The appliance allows you to adjust the degree of hardness of the eggs to be boiled. For this purpose, various scales of “so”( ), “medium”( ) and “hard”( ) are given on the measuring cup. Each scale has 6 markings which represent the num- ber of eggs you want to boil. Fill the measuring cup with water up to the marking which corresponds to the number of eggs to be boiled and the degree of hardness on the scale that you desire. Note: The amount of water that is required for the desired degree of hardness may vary slightly depending on the size and storage temperature of the eggs. Add some more water if the eggs are too so. Add less water if the eggs are too hard. Here, it is advisable to use one marking above or below. Now carefully pour the water from the measuring cup into the stainless steel bowl at the top of the egg cooker and then insert the egg holder. Using the egg piercer provided at the boom of the measuring cup, make a hole in the wider end of the egg and place the eggs into the egg holder with the hole facing over. Close the egg cooker by placing the lid. Now press the ON-OFF switch provided on the front side of the appliance to the le , to start the boiling process. The indicator starts glowing. An audible signal is heard as soon as the boiled eggs are ready. Put the ON-OFF switch to the middle posion to switch o the egg cooker. Then open the lid.19English Remove the egg holder along with the eggs and rinse the eggs under cold running water. This makes it easy to remove the eggshells. Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance aer each use. When cleaning, please refer to the informaon provided under secon 6 of this operang manual.

The keep-warm funcon is suitable only for hard boiled eggs. Rinse the eggs under cold running water, before using the keep-warm funcon. Note: There should not be any water in the bowl when using the keep-warm funcon. Place the egg holder in the appliance. Now place the eggs in the holder with the hole facing upwards and close the lid. Now press the ON-OFF switch provided on the front side of the appliance to the right in order to start the keep-warm funcon. The indicator starts glowing. Put the ON-OFF switch back to the middle posion to stop the process. Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance aer each use. When cleaning, please refer to the informaon provided under secon 6 of this operang manual.

Please follow these instrucons when cleaning to avoid injuries and damage to the appliance:

• Switch o the appliance before cleaning and allow it to cool down.

• Ensure that the mains plug is disconnected from the socket.

• Do not open the appliance.

• Do not immerse the appliance in liquids.

• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents. The bowl and the mains cable can be cleaned using a slightly damp cloth.20 English If there is any calcicaon, use a soluon of water and a lile vinegar. Then boil once using clean water only to remove the smell of vinegar. Wipe the appliance dry aer cleaning. The egg holder, lid and measuring cup can be cleaned by either using detergent under running water or in the dishwasher.

7. Safety instrucons and liability disclaimer

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not cered for use in the open air; only use it in dry condions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibraon as this might damage electronic components.Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe naonal regulaons and restricons. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instrucons. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteraon to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instrucons. The device specicaons may change without any separate prior noce to this eect.

8. Disposal Instrucons

The European Direcve (WEEE) requires that old electrical and electronic appliances shall be disposed of separately from normal household garbage for opmal recycling. The component parts must be separated, collected and sent for recycling or disposal in an environment-friendly manner.
