• Before using the appliance, read all the instrucons in this user manual carefully

• Do not immerse in water or other liquids. There is a risk of short cir- cuits

• Do not pour liquid onto the plug

• Do not place the appliance on a pol- ished wooden surface as this could damage the wood

• Never touch live parts

• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket outlet with the correct voltage

• Do not use extension cords

• Never leave the main cable hanging loose, never remove the plug with wet hands, never place or hang the cable and plug on or near hot sur- faces and never allow the plug and cable to come into contact with oils

• Unplug the appliance from the sock- et aer use and before every longer break in operaon, as well as before replacing accessories or cleaning!21English

• Do not touch the heang surface (below the whisk) when the appli- ance is in operaon or has been in use for a short me, as this can lead to burns or scalding and the heang surface will sll have residual heat for some me aer use.

• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cable or plug. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid danger.

1. Scope of delivery

• Base with connecon cable

• Unpack the box with care and retain all packaging materials unl you have en- sured that the product is complete and working properly

• Remove all packaging materials and lm and keep them for possible future use. Check that the appliance has been delivered complete and is in perfect con- dion

• Before using the appliance for the rst me, clean the container and accessories as described in the chapter „Cleaning and care“ to remove dust or producon residues

Remove the appliance from the packaging and remove all packaging material. Check that the delivery is complete. Remove any protecve lm and the scker that you nd inside the container. Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. Insert the whisk into the appliance if it is not inserted correctly. • Warming and srring: max. 300ml Whisk29English Connect the power cable with the base unit to a properly connected socket. Re- move the milk frother from the base unit and pour in the milk. Fill the container with enough milk to reach at least the minimum (MIN) ll level mark. However, never pour in milk above the upper maximum (MAX) markings. Otherwise the appliance may overow. Note: The ‘MIN’ mark indicates the minimum ll level. The lower ‘MAX’ mark indicates the maximum ll level when preparing milk foam. The upper ‘MAX’ mark indicates the maximum ll level when heang milk. Cauon! Never select a programme for preparing milk foam with this ll level, as the milk cannot be prevented from overowing. The “Mode” buon is used to select the mode of the milk frother. Press the but- ton as oen as necessary unl the desired mode is acve (indicated by the status LED of the corresponding mode lighng up). If the buon is not pressed for about three seconds, the ashing status LED of the corresponding mode changes to a steady light and the selected mode is acve. When the programme is nished, the milk frother switches o automacally. Pre- mature cancellaon is possible at any me by pressing the “Mode” buon again The programme duraon depends on the selected mode and the amount of liquid used.30 English

This chapter contains some useful ps to help you get the most out of your milk frother.

• For opmum milk froth, only use cold milk that has previously been stored in the refrigerator.

• Always use your milk frother rst to froth or heat milk. Prepare your coee or hot chocolate during the process and serve the drink as soon as it is ready.

• Use whole milk (fat content > 3.0%) for the best results.

• Cold milk can be frothed with this milk frother. However, this does not mean that you can use the appliance to cool the milk. The milk frother works at a normal temperature in this state.

• Aer frothing or heang, allow the appliance to cool down for two minutes unl the thermostat is reset and the milk frother is ready for use again. Rinsing with water and then drying aer each use will reduce this me.

• The milk frother is designed to froth and heat milk. If you add avourings such as coee or cocoa powder to the milk frother, make sure that the appliance is cleaned thoroughly immediately aer use.

8. Cleaning and care

Remove the container from the base unit before cleaning. Separate the lid and the silicone seal from the container. Never immerse the container or the base unit in water. With frothed milk With hot milk Cappucino

10. Safety instrucons and disclaimer

Never aempt to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modicaons. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not waterproof, please only use it in dry condions. Protect it from high humidity, wa- ter and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden temperature changes or strong vibraons, as this could damage the electronic parts. Check the device for damage before use. The appliance should not be used if it has been knocked or damaged in any other way. Please observe the naonal regulaons and restricons. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instrucons. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or modicaon to the appliance that is not carried out by the original supplier will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The appliance may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instrucons. The device specicaons may change without prior noce. The con- tainer Please clean immediately aer each use. Rinse and clean the inside walls with warm water and a non-abrasive cloth. Dry the container with a so cloth. Never leave frothed, heated milk or other drinks unused in the container. The lid Separate the lid and the silicone ring from the container. Wash directly with water. The housing Clean the housing with a so cloth. Never use sharp clea- ning objects, hard nylon brushes or metal brushes to avoid scratching the stainless steel surface! Never clean with metal objects or abrasive cleaners. The srring insert Remove the srring insert from the container and wash it with warm water. Dry the brooms and store them in a safe place. Please do not use a dishwasher for this purpose.33English

11. Disposal instrucons

According to the European WEEE Direcve, electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of with household waste.
