Frequently Asked Questions - Maia S33 Caffitaly

What to do if the machine does not dispense coffee and the light flashes RED?
The water tank is empty. Fill it with fresh water, then press one of the buttons A, B or C to recharge the hydraulic circuit. Wait until the buttons are lit steadily before preparing coffee.
How to program the coffee quantity for each button?
Place a cup under the nozzle, insert a capsule and lower the lever. Press and hold the desired button (A or B) until two beeps are heard. Release when the desired quantity is reached, or press again to stop. The programming is saved for subsequent uses.
Why is the coffee not hot enough?
The cups may be cold: preheat them by rinsing with hot water. If the problem persists, descaling may be necessary. Follow the descaling instructions with a Caffitaly System product.
Unable to lower the lever: what to do?
Check if the used capsule container is full; empty it if necessary. If a capsule is stuck inside, carefully remove it after unplugging the machine.
What does the flashing YELLOW D light mean?
It is the descaling signal. The machine has detected that a descaling cycle is needed. Follow the procedure described in the 'Descaling' chapter of the manual, using a Caffitaly System descaling product.
How to clean the machine daily?
Empty and rinse the drip tray, used capsule container, and water tank. Clean the dispensing nozzle by disassembling its internal parts. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent for the exterior. Never wash plastic parts in the dishwasher.
The machine turns off by itself: is this normal?
Yes, this is the energy saving function. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the machine reduces its consumption. The buttons flash then turn off. To reactivate, press a button or lift the lever: the machine automatically reheats.
Which capsules to use with the Maia S33?
Use only original Caffitaly System capsules. Using other capsules may damage the machine and void the warranty.
How to perform a rinse cycle?
After dispensing, lift and then lower the lever within 5 seconds: the machine beeps twice. Press buttons A and B simultaneously to start the rinse cycle. The buttons flash during rinsing.
What to do if the D light stays on steady RED?
This indicates a heating problem. Turn off the machine by unplugging the cord, wait a few moments, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service center.
