WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow all safety warn-

ings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Keep all safety instructions and information for future reference.

Always charge batteries in chargers recommended by the manufacturer. Chargers designed for a specific type of battery may pose a fire hazard when used together with other battery types.

You must always insert the correct batteries in the lamp. Using other batteries may cause injuries and pose a fire hazard.

When not in use, keep batteries away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could bridge the contacts. Short circuits between battery contacts can cause burns or fires.

Fluid may escape if batteries are used inappropriately. Avoid all contact with this fluid. In the event of accidental skin contact, rinse the affected area thoroughly. If the fluid enters your eyes, seek immediate medical assistance. Escaping battery fluid can cause skin irritation or burns.

Do not operate the lamp in potentially explosive environments containing flammable dust, fluids or gases. The lamp can generate sparks which may ignite dust or vapours.

Avoid accidental operation. Make sure that the lamp is switched off before connecting the battery and before picking up or carrying the lamp. Accidentally pressing the switch on the device or connecting the device to the power supply when already switched on can lead to accidents.

Always switch off the lamp when not in use.

Never use electrical devices with a defective switch. Electrical devices that can no longer be switched on or off are dangerous and must be repaired immediately.

Remove the battery before adjusting, cleaning and storing the device or changing accessories. These precautionary measures prevent accidental operation of the lamp.

When not in use, keep the lamp out of the reach of children. Do not allow personnel to use the device unless they are already familiar with it or have read these instructions. Electrical devices are dangerous when used by inexperienced personnel.

Maintain the device carefully. Check that all moving parts are functioning correctly and do not seize, make sure that no parts are broken or damaged to an extent where they affect the function of the lamp. Have damaged parts repaired before using the device. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained electrical tools.

Do not operate the lamp without a window, or with a window that is damaged.

Use the lamp, accessories, etc. as described in these instructions. Take into consideration the working conditions and tasks required. Using electrical devices for applications other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.

Always have your lamp repaired by qualified personnel using genuine spare parts. This will ensure that the device functions safely.

Keep your lamp away from heat sources and fires. Do not store your lamp in moist or wet ambient conditions. Do not store in locations where temperatures may reach or exceed 40 °C. Examples include alcoves, motor vehicles or metal structures during the summer.

Do not expose the lamp to rain or damp conditions. Do not leave the lamp on while unattended.

ENGLISHen

Do not look into the lamp during longer operation. Could cause damage to the eyes.

Reducing dust exposure:

WARNING - Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:

  • Lead from lead-based paints,
  • Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
  • Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.

Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

This also applies to dust from other materials such as some timber types (like oak or beech dust), metals, asbestos. Other known diseases are e.g. allergic reactions, respiratory diseases. Do not let dust enter the body.

Observe the relevant guidelines and national regulations for your material, staff, application and place of application (e.g. occupational health and safety regulations, disposal).

Collect the particles generated at the source, avoid deposits in the surrounding area.

Use suitable accessories for special work. In this way, fewer particles enter the environment in an uncontrolled manner.

Use a suitable extraction unit.

Reduce dust exposure with the following measures:

- do not direct the escaping particles and the exhaust air stream at yourself or nearby persons or on dust deposits,

- use an extraction unit and/or air purifiers,

- ensure good ventilation of the workplace and keep clean using a vacuum cleaner. Sweeping or blowing stirs up dust.

Vacuum or wash the protective clothing. Do not blow, beat or brush.
