How to light the Videro G6 barbecue?
Open the lid and make sure all valves are at '•'. Open the gas bottle. Push in the right burner valve while turning it counterclockwise until you hear a 'click' (Jet-Flame ignition). If the burner does not light, turn the valve to '•', wait 3 minutes and try again.
What to do in case of gas smell?
Immediately shut off the gas supply at the bottle. Extinguish all flames and turn valves to '•'. Open the lid. If the smell persists, leave the area and call the fire department. Never use a naked flame to detect a leak.
How to perform a gas leak test?
Turn valves to '•'. Open the gas bottle. Apply soapy water to all connections (bottle, regulator, hose, valve). If bubbles form, tighten connections or replace defective parts. Never use a flame.
How to clean the barbecue after use?
Let the barbecue heat up for 10-15 minutes at full power to burn off residues, then let it cool. Remove the grate and wash it with a soft brush and soapy water. Clean the drip tray and hopper regularly to avoid grease fires. Dry by heating up again.
Why are the flames irregular?
This may be due to dirty burners. Clean the burners with hot water and a brush. Make sure the openings are not blocked. Also check that the hose is not kinked or damaged.
Can I use the barbecue indoors?
No, this barbecue must only be used outdoors, in a well-ventilated area. Using it indoors exposes you to dangerous gas accumulation and risk of fire or explosion.
What is the maximum gas bottle size?
For the standard Videro G6 model, the holder accepts a 5 kg bottle. The -S version can hold up to 11 kg. The hose length must not exceed 1.5 meters.
How to prevent grease fires?
Regularly clean the drip tray and hopper. Remove excess grease before cooking. In case of fire, close the lid and shut off gas. Never use water to extinguish a grease fire.
Can the barbecue stay outside in winter?
It is recommended to store the barbecue in a dry, protected area during winter. Remove the gas bottle and store it outdoors in a ventilated place. Clean and dry the grates, then oil them to prevent rust.
