USER MANUAL LI 3600 Orbegozo

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years

and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.

2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

play with the appliance.

3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of

children less than 8 years old.

4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children‘s safety,

please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the

Authorized Service Agent.

6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.

7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it

is not working properly.

8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.

9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Do not open the lid on the blender until the motor has stopped.

• Do not use the liquidizer if the filter is damaged. Do not use the appliance if you observe any cracks or damage to any part of it.

• Always place the appliance at the kitchen counter.

• Do not place next to hot areas, for example gas rings and electric hotplates.

CORD, PLUG AND MAINS SOCKET

• Ensure that the cord is fully extended.

• Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/counter, and keep it away from hot objects and naked flames.

• Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.

• If the apparatus or plug is damaged, it must be inspected and if necessary, repaired by an authorized repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

• Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.

• Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord. KEY TO MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE APPLIANCE

Before using for the first time, or after prolonged storage without use, wash any parts that will come into contact with food.

• Place the base-motor (7) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing firmly on the four suction cups underneath.

• Place the deposit for pulp (6) with the blade-filter on the base-motor so that the juice outlet (4) fit in the side slot of base-motor.

• Press the blade-filter until it fits well on motor shaft. Make sure that the blade-filter doesn't sit too loosely on the base and that it rotates evenly.

• Be careful not to touch the sharp parts of the blade-filter.

• Place lid (2) with pusher (1) on deposit for pulp (6) and fit it with 2 security lock clamps (3). The appliance has a security system, if it is not well assembled, it won’t work.

• Place juice cup (5) or other recipient under the juice outlet (4).

• Always wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before juicing.

• It is not necessary to remove seeds, pits or thin peels before using the appliance.

• Fruits with thick peels such as oranges and lemons must be peeled before juicing. It is particularly important to remove all the peel (including the pith), as even small amounts of peel can impart an unpleasant taste to the juice.

• It is also necessary to remove large pits (such as plum and apricot pits) to avoid damaging the appliance.

• Large fruits and vegetables should be cut into pieces that can fit into the tube (1).LI 3600

• Start the appliance by turning the On/Off button to position "1”.

• Feed the selected fruits and/or vegetables into the appliance through the funnel a little at a time, pushing them down using the tamper (1).

• Make sure that you turn the pusher so that the groove in the pusher fits into the tube properly.

• Long vegetables such as carrots should be fed into the tube pointy end first.

• Press the fruits and/or vegetables gently with the tube. Too much presser reduces the amount of juice extracted and can damage the appliance.

• Stop the appliance before removing the tamper to add more fruit/vegetables in order to avoid splashes.

• Keep an eye on the fruit pulp holder and stop juicing before the holder becomes too full.

• Always turn off the power by turning the "On/Off" button to "0" position before taking off the lid. Please note: Do not leave the appliance running for more than 2 minutes at a time. If the appliance has been running for 2 minutes, allow it to cool down for 20 minutes before you use it again. RECIPES Orange, pineapple and strawberries juice Very refreshing, perfect for hot summer days, it will work well to quench thirst and provide many nutrients. To prepare mix 1 orange, 150 gr, fresh peeled pineapple and two strawberries. Mango and grapefruit juice This juice will help you relax and have a better sleep thanks to the properties of the mango, especially to drink in the evening after a stressful day. To prepare you need 1 small mango chunks and 1 red grapefruit. Red fruits juice It is rich in antioxidants and good for the immune system. Mix 3 strawberries, 40 gr. Blueberry and 40 gr. raspberries. Serve chilled. Kiwi and white grape fruit This juice besides is rich in antioxidants, high in fiber. To prepare needs 3 peeled and chopped kiwis and 70gr. white seedless grapes. TIP

• Use fresh fruits and vegetables – they contain the most juice.

• Good candidates for juicing include pineapple, apples, cucumbers, celery, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes and most citrus fruits.

• The various varieties of apple yield juice with different flavors and consistency. Experiment with different combinations to find your own favorite.

• Leafy green vegetables such as cabbage and spinach can be juiced. Roll the leaves into cylinders of an appropriate size before feeding them into the funnel.

• Fibrous fruits and vegetables as well as those with very firm flesh such as bananas, mangoes, papayas and avocadoes are not well-suited to juicing, as the result is often mashed fruit instead of juice.

• All types of juice should be consumed right after juicing, as fresh juice quickly looses important nutrients when exposed to the oxygen in the air. Taste can also be affected.

• Pure apple juice turns brown quickly when exposed to air. To prevent discoloration, serve apple juice immediately after juicing or add a little lemon juice.

• Remember that fruit pulp can be used in cakes, vegetable lasagne, muffins, etc. STORAGE

• Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing.

• The appliance contains sharp parts - keep out of the reach of children. CLEANING

• Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the apparatus to cool down before cleaning.LI 3600

• The best way to clean the motor section is with a slightly dampened cloth and, if necessary, a little detergent. Do NOT immerse the motor section in any form of liquid!

• The centrifuge bowl, fruit pulp holder and all other detachable parts can be washed up by hand or in a dishwasher.

• Be careful not to touch the sharp parts in the bottom of the centrifuge bowl.

• Do not use any kind of strong or abrasive cleaning agent on the appliance or its accessories. Never use a scouring sponge or similar to clean it, as the surface may be damaged.

• Allow all parts of the appliance to dry completely before reassembling it after cleaning.

Disposal of old electrical appliances. The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
