• Read all the instrucons in this user manual carefully before using the ap- pliance!

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above or by persons with reduced physical, senso- ry or mental capabilies or lack of ex- perience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. The selecon is conrmed by a short audible signal. Cauon! Use mode 2 (white LED) only for srring mode! Select the appropriate aachment and x it in the container. 5 Usage Please note that the maximum level is dierent for the various modes. The maximum level is 175 ml for frothing (" "). The maximum level is 250ml for srring (" ").33English

1. Remove the lid of the milk frother.

2. Insert the desired aachment (srrer or frother).

3. Pour milk into the container. Ensure that you do not exceed the maximum

level: Frothing 175 ml (" ";) Srring 250ml (" ").

4. Close the lid of the milk container and ensure that it is xed correctly.

5. Place the milk container on the base unit. Connect the power cable to a

properly installed socket.

6. Press the sensor buon (" ") on the front of the base unit of the milk

frother to switch on the appliance. Press the sensor buon "ON/OFF" on the front of the base unit to select the desi- red mode. An audible signal conrms the selecon. And the ( ) symbol starts glowing in red on the buon (heang plate switched on). If the ( ) symbol is blue, then the heang plate is switched o and the content is not being heated. If the appliance is started, then the milk frother is automacally switched o aer 60-240 seconds. The container is subsequently lled with hot or cold milk froth de- pending on whether you had switched the heang plate on or o ("red" or "blue" mode). If you want to switch o or stop the appliance during operaon, press the sensor buon (" ") once again.34 English

5.2 Srring funcon (E.g. for cocoa)

1. Remove the lid of the milk frother.

2. Insert the desired aachment (srrer or frother).

3. Pour milk into the container. Ensure that you do not exceed the maximum

level: Frothing 175 ml (" ";) Srring 250ml (" ").

4. Add the desired mixing powder (e.g. cocoa powder).

5. Close the lid of the milk container and ensure that it is xed correctly.

6. Place the milk container on the base unit. Connect the power cable to a

properly installed socket.

7. Press the sensor buon (" ") on the front of the base unit of the milk

frother to switch on the appliance. Press the sensor buon (" ") on the front of the base unit to select the desired mode. An audible signal conrms the selecon. And the ( ) symbol starts glo- wing in blue on the buon (heang plate switched o). If the ( ) symbol is red or white, then the heang plate is switched on and the content is being heated. The white LED colour means a longer heang duraon.

635English If the appliance is started, then the milk frother is automacally switched o aer 300-420 seconds. The container is subsequently lled with hot or cold milk froth depending on whether you had switched the heang funcon on or o ("white" or "blue" mode). If you want to switch o or stop the appliance during operaon, press the "ON/OFF" sensor buon once again. Tips and Tricks Some useful ps are given in this chapter to help you get the most out of your milk frother.

• If you want to speed up the frothing or srring operaon, we recommend you to wet the boom of the milk container with some water. Whisk Funcons maximum level Cold milk frothing 175ml

Heang (with a very small amount of froth) 250ml ( )36 English

• Use the milk frother to froth or heat milk. Prepare your coee or hot chocolate during the process and serve the drink directly aer compleon.

• Use whole milk (fat content> 3.0%) for the best results.

• Cold milk can be foamed with this milk frother. But this does not mean that you can cool the milk with the appliance. The milk frother works in this state with the temperature of the milk.

• Store the brush in a safe place. These are very small in size and can be easily lost.

• Allow the appliance to cool down for two minutes aer frothing or heang ll the thermostat is reset and then the milk frother is ready for use again. Rinsing with water and subsequent drying aer each use reduces this me.

• The milk frother is designed to froth and heat milk. If you add avours such as coee or cocoa powder in the milk frother, ensure that the appliance is cleaned immediately aer use and thoroughly.

7. Cleaning and care

Use the srrer for this purpose37English Remove the container before cleaning the base unit. Separate the lid from the container. Never immerse the base unit in water. Do not start cleaning unl the appliance has cooled down completely. 8 Technical data The container Please clean it immediately aer use. Rinse and clean the inside walls with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Dry the container with a so cloth. The lid Wash it directly with water. The body Clean the body with a so cloth. Never use sharp cleaning objects,hard nylon brush or metal brush scratches on the stainless steel surface in order to avoid scratches on the stainless steel surface! Please do not clean with metal objects and scouring agents under any circumstances. Never immerse the base unit in water.
