ENGLISH (Original instructions) Intended use Your BLACK+DECKER™ FX775 food processor has been designed for use in slicing and chopping various ingredients This appliance is intended for indoor household use only. This appliance is not intended to be used in:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops;
- Offices and other working environments;
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- Bed and breakfast type environments or any other non-household environments In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility Safety instructions
- Warning! When using mains-powered appliances, basic safety precautions, including the following, should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
- Read all of this manual carefully before using the appliance.
- The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory or attachment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those recommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury.

- Always use on a clean work surface and clean the surface thoroughly after use.
- Allow the appliance to cool before storing.
- Keep hands, long hair and loose clothing away from the beaters.
- Always take care when handling the sharp cutting blades when emptying the bowl and during cleaning. Electrical safety This tool is double insulated; therefore no earth wire is required. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised BLACK+DECKER Service Centre in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance includes a safety switch which prevents operation unless the accessories are securely installed.
- This appliance incorporates a protective device against high temperatures. If the temperature becomes too high, the unit will turn off automatically and will resume operation when the motor has cooled sufficiently (after about 15 minutes).
- Do not operate the appliance for more than a minute at a stretch.
- If operation is not finished within 1 minute, turn off the machine and let it cool for 10 minutes before the next round of operation. If more than 5 rounds of operation are required, cool the machine for 90 minutes to room temperature before the next 5 rounds. This can lengthen lifespan of the machine. Using an extension cable
- Always use an approved extension cable suitable for the power input of this tool (see technical data). Before use, inspect the extension cable for signs of damage, wear and ageing. Assembly Warning! Before performing any assembly or maintenance, switch off and remove from power supply. Use Warning! Let the appliance work at its own pace. Do not overload.
- Clean the processing bowl, bowl cover, pusher, blade holder, cutting blades, chopper, kneading blade, emulsifying disc, citrus juicing head and plate and blender assembly before use.
- Place the appliance on a flat, steady surface.
- Ensure that the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet and the speed selector is set to the "0" position. Chopper assembly
- Position the driver (2) on the motor base (1).
- Position the processing bowl (3) into the driver (2) and turn clockwise to seat firmly on the motor base (1).
- Place the blade adaptor (4) onto the driver (2).
- Place the chopper (11) onto the blade adaptor (4).• Place the bowl cover (5) onto the bowl (3), turn clockwise until the cover interlocks on thebowl.
- Place the pusher (6) into feeding chute located on the bowl cover Note: Always keep the chopper inside the bowl before feeding food. Use the 'pulse' function several times to avoid cutting too fine. Do not run for too long while cutting hard cheese or chocolate, otherwise these materials will overheat and begin to melt. Standard chopping period: 30 - 60 sec. Emulsifying disc assembly
- Position the driver (2) on the motor base (1).
- Position the processing bowl (3) into the driver (2) and turn clockwise to seat firmly on the motor base (1).
- Place the blade adaptor (4) onto the driver (2).
- Place emulsifying disc (13) onto the blade adaptor (4).
- Place the cover (5) on bowl (3), turn clockwise until the cover locks onto the bowl.
- Place the pusher (6) into the feeding chute. Note: Emulsifying disc can be used to mix cheese and egg, to make mayonnaise and pudding rapidly. Warning! Do not use emulsifying disc to knead flour. Slicing and shredding blade assembly
- Position the driver (2) on the motor base (1).
- Position processing bowl (3) into the driver (2) and turn clockwise to seat firmly on the motor base (1).
- Install desired blade onto the disc holder (8), (9) or (10).
- Place the blade holder (7) onto the driver (4).

- Place the cover (5) on the bowl (3).
- Turn the cover (5) clockwise until cover interlocks on the bowl.
- Put food into the feeding chute.
- Use the pusher (6) to push the food down for processing. Note: Choose the desired blade according to the processed food and desired shape of food. Push softly when feeding food. Pre-cut the food into smaller pieces according to the diameter of the feeding tube. Feed gradually for better effect. When cutting soft food, choose a lower speed to avoid the food liquifying. If large quantities of food need to be cut, please cut it for several batches. 1200ml for one batch. Citrus juicer assembly
- Position the driver (2) on the motor base (1).
- Position the processing bowl (3) into the driver and turn clockwise to seat firmly on the motor base (1).
- Place the citrus juicing head (15) into the citrus juicing plate (14) and place onto the bowl (3) and turn 30 degrees clockwise. Note: Lower speed should be chosen when using the citrus juicer. Kneading blade assembly
- Position driver (2) on motor base (1).
- Position processing bowl (3) into the driver (2) and turn clockwise to seat firmly on motor base (1).
- Place blade adaptor (4) onto the driver (2).
- Place kneading blade (12) onto the blade adaptor (4).
- Place the cover (5) onto the bowl (3), turn clockwise until the cover interlocks on the bowl.
- Place pusher (6) into feeding chute. Note: Always attach kneading blade in the bowl before feeding in food. Standard kneading period: 20 sec. - Make sure the blender blade (19) and transmission head are fixed tightly to the base of blender jar (18).
- Put required food into the jar (18).
- Install blender measuring cup (16) and blender jar cover (17) properly.
- Put blender jar (18) onto the motor base (1) vertically, and then rotate the jar clockwise to lock it into place. Grinder assembly
- Put the motor base on a flat and dry surface.
- Turn anticlockwise to remove the grinder base (21) from the grinder cup (23), put required coffee beans into the cup, then replace the the grinder base and turn clockwise to secure them firmly.
- Put the complete grinder assembly onto motor base (1), turn clockwise to secure firmly.
- Make sure that the switch is in “0” position, plug in the motor base and use pulse 'P' 1 - 2 times for pre-grinding, then choose '1' or '2' speed for finished grinding. Cookery tips
- Refrigerated ingredients, such as butter and eggs, should be at room temperature before processing begins. Set these ingredients out ahead of time.
- To eliminate the possibility of egg shells in your recipe, break eggs into separate container first, then add to the mixture.
- Be careful that you only mix/blend mixtures as recommended in your recipe. Fold dry ingredients until they are just combined using the low speed setting.
- Climatic conditions. Seasonal temperature changes, temperature of ingredients and their texture variation all play a part in the required mixing time and the results achieved.
- Always start processing at lower speed. Gradually increase to the recommended speed as stated in the recipe. Cleaning and maintenance Warning! Before performing any maintenance:
- Switch off and disconnect from the mains supply.
- Wait for the appliance to completely cool down.
- If necessary scrape excess food particles from the tools. Warning! The motor base must not be immersed in water or other liquid.
- Wipe over the outside surface of the base with a damp cloth and polish with a soft dry cloth.
- Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
- Immerse the processing bowl, bowl cover, pusher, blade holder, cutting blades, chopper, kneading blade, emulsifying disc, citrus juicing head and plate and blender assembly in warm soapy water for complete cleaning. Then rinse under running water and wipe dry. Mains plug replacement If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
- Safely dispose of the old plug.
- Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in the new plug.
- Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
- If the product is class I (earthed), connect the green/yellow lead to the earth terminal Note! If your product is class II double insulated (only 2 wires in the cord set), no connection is to be made to the earth terminal. Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality plugs. Any replacement fuse must be of the same rating as the original fuse supplied with the product. Warning! The above section on mains plug replacement is for authorized service centre persons. Protecting the environment Separate collection. This product must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Should you find one day that your BLACK+DECKER product needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not dispose of it with other household waste. Make this product available for separate collection.
