How to prepare coffee with the ACM1000M machine?

Pour water into the tank (max 10 cups), place the permanent filter or a paper filter, add ground coffee (1 level scoop per cup), close the lid, place the carafe on the warming plate, then press the on/off switch. The indicator light turns on and the machine brews the coffee.

Can I serve a cup while the machine is running?

Yes, thanks to the anti-drip system (5), you can remove the carafe to serve a cup. Replace it quickly to prevent the filter from overflowing.

How to clean the coffee machine?

Turn off and unplug the appliance, let it cool. Remove the permanent filter and rinse it under running water. Clean the carafe with hot water and detergent, or in the dishwasher. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How often should I descale the machine?

Descaling is recommended as soon as limescale deposits are visible or coffee flows more slowly. Use a suitable descaler and follow the instructions provided. Hard water accelerates scale formation.

What to do if the machine does not turn on?

Check that the plug is properly inserted and the switch is pressed. If the indicator light does not turn on, check the fuse or circuit breaker. If the problem persists, contact Bestron customer service.

Is the carafe dishwasher safe?

Yes, the carafe and permanent filter can be washed in the dishwasher. For other parts, clean them by hand with a damp cloth.

What is the maximum water capacity?

The tank can hold up to 10 cups (about 1.25 liters). Do not exceed the indicated maximum level.

Does the auto shut-off work?

Yes, the warming plate keeps coffee warm for 40 minutes then the machine turns off automatically. The indicator light also turns off.

Do I need to use paper filters?

No, the machine comes with a reusable permanent filter. You can still use a size 1×4 paper filter if you prefer.

What does the 60-month warranty cover?

The warranty covers any manufacturing or functional defects for 60 months from the date of purchase. Labor and material costs are covered. Exclusions: accidental damage, normal wear, improper use, unauthorized repairs. To claim the warranty, contact the seller or Bestron with proof of purchase.

Congratulations with the purchase of this Bestron product. These instructions tell you how the product works and how to use it. Read the instructions carefully before you start using the appliance. Only use the appliance in the manner described in the instructions. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

OPERATION - General

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

OPERATION - Before use for the first time

Clean the appliance a couple of times by filling it with water only. Please observe the following instructions. Dispos of the water after use.

OPERATION - Making coffee

1. Place the appliance on a flat and steady surface. Connect the plug (10) to the wall socket.
2. Open the filter cover (3). Pour sufficient water into the reservoir (1): not more than 10 cups, as shown on the water-level indicator (2).
3. This coffee maker is supplied with a permanent filter (11), no more paper filters needed. But if you prefer, you can also fit a paper filter (1 x 4) in the filter holder. Fill the filter with the required amount of ground coffee (the customary quantity is 1 level scoop for each cup).
4. Close the filter cover.
5. Place the glass pot (7) on the hotplate (8).
6. Switch on the appliance by pressing the On/Off switch (9). The indicator light will illuminate and the coffee is being prepared.
7. The pause-and-serve function enables you to pour a cup of coffee before the coffee maker has finished. Place the glass pot back quickly, to prevent the filter from overflowing.
8. Do not forget to turn off the appliance after use or when the coffee does not need to be held warm anymore.

WARNING:

Turn off the appliance when there is only a small amount of coffee left in the glass jug. This prevents burnmarks and overheating.
The hot plate keeps the coffee warm for another 40 minutes before it switches off automatically. The indicator light goes off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Remove the plug from the wall socket, and if necessary allow the appliance to cool.
3. Dispos of the paper filter, if used, or remove the permanent filter from the casing, and clean it under running water. Remove the filter holder from the casing and clean it under running water aswell. Place the filter holder back into the casing. Make sure that the non-drip nozzle fits through the opening in the filter casing correctly.
4. Clean the jug in hot dishwashing water or put it in a dishwasher.
5. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. Make sure no moisture gets into the appliance.

WARNING:

• Never immerse the appliance, plug or power cord in water. Never put the appliance in a dishwasher. Only the loose parts may be immersed in water.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Descaling

Limescale can reduce the efficiency of your coffee maker. Limescale is common in areas with hard water. We advise the use of a suitable descending agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the descending agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty on this equipment against defects resulting from manufacturing and/or material errors, subject to the following conditions.

1. No labour or material costs will be charged during this warranty period.
2. Any repairs carried out under the warranty will not extend the warranty period.
3. Faulty parts, or in the event of exchange, the faulty equipment itself, will automatically become the property of Bestron.
4. The warranty is valid for the first buyer only and is non-transferable.
