Frequently Asked Questions - ACM111Z BESTRON

How to descale the Bestron ACM111Z coffee maker?
Use a special coffee descaler or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1). Pour into the reservoir, run a cycle without coffee, then rinse with two cycles of clear water. Descale every 3 months.
What type of filter to use?
You can use the included permanent filter or a size 1x4 paper filter. The permanent filter is reusable and should be cleaned after each use.
Why won't my machine turn on?
Check the electrical outlet and power cord. Make sure the water reservoir is properly positioned. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to clean the glass carafe?
Wash the carafe by hand with soapy water or in the dishwasher (top rack). Avoid abrasive sponges to avoid scratching the glass.
The machine stops before the end of the cycle, what to do?
This may be due to lack of water, a clogged filter, or a need for descaling. Check the water level, clean the filter, and descale.
Can I use ground coffee other than filter coffee?
Yes, but use a medium grind suitable for filters. A grind that is too fine can clog the filter and slow down the flow.
How to adjust the coffee strength?
The strength of the coffee depends on the amount of grounds and the type of coffee. Use one level teaspoon per cup and adjust to your taste.
The coffee tastes bitter, why?
A bitter taste can come from overly ground coffee, too hot water, or a dirty filter. Use a coarser grind and clean regularly.
How many cups can I prepare?
The maximum capacity is 1.25 liters, or about 10 cups of 125 ml each. Do not exceed the indicated MAX level.
Where to buy spare parts?
Spare parts are available on the Bestron website or at authorized retailers. Search for reference ACM111Z for the carafe and filter.
